    Re: Anyone?

I'll have one, please. First have to find the £68K, however.

I wonder if it will make an appearance at the TT?

    Drool-worthy piece of kit.
Well, I thought I had some special buttons now, but some people have even specialer buttons.

    Re: Anyone?

    Unfortunately my garage is full

Having designed the single sided carbon fibre swing arm for Dymag (Ducati 916/996) many moons ago I just love this sort of thing. Of all the manufactures my favorite to get this right would be BMW since their car division have vast experience of composites.
Things have moved on since I designed the swing arm, I had to use 16x16 and 24x24 matrices for my calculations for the lay-up, now you just log it into a composites finite element package and adjust as necessary!

Point taken but the Superleggera is a monocoque and the BMW is a 'conventional' frame which is a whole different ball park. With a frame you can build in stiffness/flex where you want it, with the Ducati approach these choices are very limited as the MotoGP team found out ....

I'm not sure what you mean there Duck since BMW's description is a little confusing. I assume the second part I highlighted is the seat sub-frame. The Ducati as most know uses the engine as a stressed member so the "frame" is not conventional as the BMW's is.

    Re: Anyone?

Did anyone watch the superbike comparison at the bottom (MCN) ? The new Honda Fireblade came out on top, beating the BMW and Ducati among others. It was a good watch.
