I am DONE waiting on your lame ass to grow a pair of balls and rejoin the big-bore hyperbike market again.
FÜCK OFF, Honda!
I made my decision....
All-new for 2008 Suzuki GSX-R1300 Hayabusa in charcoal and dark-gray!
The twin factory bazooka canisters holds monster catalytic converters (mega-weight and heat). Theiy're outta here. I see a 4-2-1 Akrapovic Titanium system in my future.
These deeply rich carbon-fiber tank protection pads add 5 horsepower put to ground. True story.
Thank goodness the wife likes it! |

Your wife is beautiful, the bike is "butt" ungly. However, "one man's ceiling is another man's floor". Happy riding. I suppose it would be fun to start spending all over again.

I actually like the look of the new Busa. What are you going to do with all the fabricated parts you have made for the Bird? Can you transfer them to the Busa? Tanks, lights etc?
Lovely wife BTW. How did an ugly bugger like you pick her up?

I actually *tried* to trade-in the XX, since it is all paid for, yadda, yadda. Even went so far as to mount up and ride it the 25 miles west to Desert Valley Powersports in Prosser to trade it in for the Heavy Bus..
Didn't even make it 10 miles before I **KNEW** this would be a horrendous mistake. Give up the Blackbird? No way, no how!!!!!!!!!
Turned around. Put the XX back in the garage. Got on the R1. Rode to Prosser on it. Did the deal.
The Blackbird remains.

The Blackbird remains. | Is the new Busa as good as I believe it is?
What are your impressions so far concerning the engine and chassi. Is it a night and day difference to the bird (i guess it is)?
Is there anythíng with the Busa that you dont like so far?
Does the massive rear look better in real than on pics?
I want one to...

WC, I'm also thinking of the Hayabusa. How's the sitting position between the Hayabusa and the XX? Do they make taller handle bars for the Hayabusa (Heli?)
Thanks!

I'm curious, why the Busa and not something a little exotic. Benelli or the like? Glad you had an epifamy, a moment of clearity, and realized getting rid of the Bird would be a regretfull move. Why not set up your wife on the Bird.

Cool!
If Honda doesn't redesign the ST for 2009, my next bike may be a BMW. |

The 1 thing that concerns me with the B-KING is the wind blast you're going to get at speed, anybody else try hanging on to something going 90 mph sitting up?

Be sure to get the extended warranty for the electrics and future transmission problems. No joke, I am serious here. I have seen a lot of Hayabusa's with these problems. Mark at R&D in Fla. can help with the tranny..

It has proven to be a little sub-optimal to obtain a new hyper-bike just as winter is taking hold of the PacNorWest. Got hit with snow last night. This is a bunch of crap.
I was going to provide a 1000-mile report, but this crappy weather has has the Busa in the garage for 10 of the 17 days I have had it. I am not even ready for the 600-mile service yet.
Stupid winter. |
