I have my XX geared 16/45 and on a cool day, say 40 to 45 degree morning the front end of the bike loves to come up. On a 90 degree day I really have to chop the throttle and work the suspension to get the front up, but on a cool morning a moderate blip of the throttle and alittle pull on the bars and the front end comes right up. My girlfriends dad thinks this idea is absurd and swears that cool air would not make much difference. tell me is it in my head or does cold air really help my ol 97 XX?

So I guess the next question is what do i need to do so I can always have this type or response and power on tap. Its frustrating because while I love my XX all the time. it is complete bliss on a cool morning.

I will be honest with you my bird always rolls with a lil blip in first and when I wring its neck in second she salutes the flag. I am running the same 16F 45R but I have really light wheels and other goodies to add some extra power, also your shock setting has a lot to do with it. If your shock is set for a lot of sag then a lot of power is transfered to making the bike squat, where as if the shock is a lil stiffer it will transfer more power to lifting the front end, not that I am a physisist or well an english major either!

Or........................  You COULD mount the same AC unit on the REAR of the bike on a luggage rack, and run some plenum hose to the front of the air box. The weight of the unit alone will let you loft the front wheel at will. Just think, a supercharger and intercooler, all in one unit!  Don't forget the piggyback electric generator (Honda, what else?).The condensation dripping off the unit will let you do smoky burnouts all day long,.... too!

Cool air is denser than warm air. On a cool day, your engine is receiving this dense charge of air and responds more powerfully. To make a baseball analogy, a baseball will travel farther off the bat on a hot day in July than it would on a cool day in October; there is less resistance against the baseball on a hot day.
