They are used to strap down the motorcycle using the handlebars. This ensures that the bike does not get damaged. The only way to trailer a bike... I have one pair but need a few more for the new trailer.

Ah yes, those are Canyon Dancers. Most motorcycle dealers carry them, and most all online motorcycle places carry them too.
John may even sell them.

I don't carry them as they are everywhere and I can't sell them at any better deal than everyone does.

Before I bought mine. Trailering was a big, big deal. Six straps all over hells half acre.
We trailer down from Alberta to AZ every year. This meant stopping and checking out the load every 100-200- miles (just, to be on the safe side)
Last year went with the Canyon Dancers and a frnt wheel chock.....I may check the load 3 times the whole way down...get em, you'll love em.

I'll just add one thing...
Be sure you don't strap the canyon dancer down too tight! Lots of people have broken the switch housings (I'm one of them) using them, because they pull together on your housings to hold on to the bike...
I've found a MUCH better way to trailer now!
I take off the front fender (4 bolts, and if you're in a truck, it hits the front of the bed, so you've got to take it off anyway), and wrap the strap around the lower tripple tree, and cross over the tire to the loops on the floor... For instance, I wrap around the passenger side (like a car, the only way I know how to say it, because it depends on where you're standing as to which side is right and left) fork right above the lowe tripple, and go over the front tire to the driver side hook on the floor, and the opposite for the other side... MUCH MUCH MUCH more stable, and you can wrench it down pretty tight and only have to worry about fork springs and seals, instead of worrying about breaking switch housings, or the straps coming out of the canyon dancer or anything like that...

Get 2 pieces of pvc pipe and slip over the grips before you put the CD on. The grip sling/loop works better that way from what I have heard. Buy a removable wheel chock from LP for $40. With a setup like that you never have to worry about a thing. Remember to put a strap on each side to keep her from swaying side to side. I dont even tighten the straps down very tight on the front, just snuggem and it works great. No worries about compressing the forks or blowing seals either.
