After alot of research and alot of input from you guys here I decided to purchase a 2007 cbr600RR for corner carving. It was a toss up between the cbr1000RR and the 600RR. I'm keeping my XX for 2up riding or long distance rides. Does anyone know of someone who owns the newest RR? Any feedback?

Awesome bike, Jeff. It just won Cycle World's ten best award for best middleweight. Enjoy it!

Good choice the 600 is way better than the 1000.
The 600RR won Motorcyclist's class of 07. Beat out the new GSXR1000, Yamaha R1, & Ducati 1098.
Also won Sportrider's 600 shootout.

bought my wife the black one in march, been riding the hell out of it! it will run circles around the 06 600rr she had. with only a 1 inch drop in back and 3/4 in front i ran a 6.89 @105mph in the 1/8th and 8.80 @117 in the 1000ft drag last sunday. i'v only been getting about 36 mpg though.

I've only put about 150 miles on it and it seems to turn in very, very hard. What's up with that? My xx turns in quicker.

I would say check your tire pressure. Don't trust the dealer that he inflated them to the right pressure.

| When I bought my XX (from a dealer) the tire pressure was 20psi front & rear.

check the tire pressure. when i first got on her 600 i almost fell over trying to turn, this thing turns way to easy. they shortened the rack and trail and the wheel base. going from a 68 inch wheelbase to 53 inches it took me a minute!

Tire pressure is 36 front and 38 rear. It seems very hard to turn in still. I don't understand it. Going 80mph, my XX turns in quicker, but slower than 60, the RR has quicker turn in. Maybe the electronic steering damper is causing this.
