I recently sold my '84 Nighthawk and the gentleman who bought it pointed this web site out to me-www.hdlparts.com. It may be old news to most but it looks to me they sell OEM Honda parts at 20%-30% off of retail. I have not personally used it (yet) but thought it might come in handy to some.

hdlparts stands for Honda DirectLine Parts. They are located just three blocks away from where I work. They sell a bunch of my "Ears" throught their website Honda Directline.com. They are primarily a big aftermarket parts site for the big Honda Cruiser industry but also own two Honda Motorcycle Dealerships. The owners are very good personal friends of mine and is where I get the CCT's from that I sell. I get very good pricing from them as long as I buy in quantities of 10 or more.
They are very good people to deal with and have done alot for the Honda motorcycle industry.
They are friends of mine so I am very bias towards them anyway.

They do have very competitive pricing on OEM parts and don't do any bait and switch tactics like many dealers do. Their hdlparts site is a great tool to use for price comparisons and does hurt them sometimes by posting what they sell for.
Obviously they are who I use for all my OEM needs. I recommend then highly.

I had to laugh at our near exact bike profile. I just sold an 83 Nighthawk for my 'bird!

huh ??

You have to select the model and year first then the complete parts fiche comes up for your specific bike. Click the drop down menu for which ever section of the Bird you want to see part numbers and prices for. It is in PDF format.

I just did some comparisons and Service Honda still beats them by quite a bit on price:

Service Honda Home of the CR500AF 500AF 500AFX Junior-X - Honda Motorcycle Parts

If this is Hal from Direct Line, I am pretty sure that he will match or beat any competitors price.

Yes it is Hal and his son Chris from Directline that I deal with.
They are good people.

When I belonged to the MRA ( Magna Riders Association) Hal tried to help out the members of the club with great discounts. Unfortunatley he got a BAD rap from a few dissatified cutomers and things never worked out from there.

I am pretty sure this is when he was just getting things off the ground with his buissness. I know it was long before the 2 dealerships.

And YES he is a great guy and very nice as well as helpful.
