Any of you use a throttle lock? I've heard of people using ThrottleMeister but I also saw one in a magazine by a company called Manic Salamander. It looks to be a little easier to work than the ThrottleMeister.
Basically, I'm trying to make my RC more comfortable to ride longer distances

Some discussion here: Suggestions for Throttle Lock?

And here: what's the best cruise control/throttle lock on the market?

The one you posted looks pretty cool though.

Best Idea I've ever seen for the 'Bird (and most other bikes is:

AUDIOVOX CCS-100 ON A CBR1100XX

Got one on order to install next week!

There's probably no room on an RC51 to fit that thing. I've seen the installation instructions for an ST1300 and there's no way I'd even attempt it.

Once I get a Goldwing I'll have electronic cruise...

There's not much room to fit ANYTHING on a RC without covering up the gauges I'm going to try my Throttle Rocker this weekend and hopefully that'll do the trick, but the Manic Salamander thing looked interesting.

DrDyno ~ You are much more adventurous than me! I'd probably fry half the stuff in my bike before getting that on there

Ba-Da-Bing... Did you scroll down through his whole XX installation? Looks like a piece of cake! Bet I have it in and running in less than four hours!!

I have a Throttle Meister which looks great but is a pain in the ass to engage at speed.

Osiris, guess the cockpit is gettin' a little busy!
Just enough room on top of the clutch reservoir for the Cruise Control!

Oh sweet! That's a great idea for the Chatterbox! I tried mounting it on my helmet, but it just wasn't working out right.

+1 Vista Cruise works great on the Bird. Not sure about an RC.

The push-to-talk button is that blue-looking dot on the left control.

By the way, I used to have the FMRS (2-mile range) and more recently got the GMRS (5-mile range). The difference is monumental! I've been on rides where I could hear everyone clearly and everyone could hear me clearly but... no one with the FMRS's could hear each other!

My "store" is a front for Uncle Sam on tax day !!

I have a few items for the Bird in stock but I haven't updated the website for over a year. Not enough hours in the day. I also have those fancy "CBR" rubber key chains with caribiners that I promised Conq to have up on the site for 2 months now !!

It is not a profitable business but rather a nice tax write off for rent and utilities and Bike Bling for my own Bird.

Just trying to help out the fellow Bird Rider.

I can shoot a picture of the Vista if you like. In the original packaging of course. It is a pretty simple item.

John

Yes I can ship to Canada. It is only about $2.00 more for postage by regular USPS. The Carabiner "CBR" key chains are $8.00, free shipping if included with a Vista Cruise

Looks like I will have to get them up on my site this weekend.
