We've all seen the Discovery biker build-offs, I've been done with the OCC bunch for over a year now, and Two Wheel Tuesdays always caters to the cruisers. Corbins ride on usually isn't interesting. Is there a market for a Sport touring, or even just a sport riding segment? Those of us that prefer the sportier side of two wheels make up a vast majority of the biker population, and it just seems like we're being left out. Yeah, I've seen the previews for the metric build series. I'd like to see some real-world TV that's educational and interesting. Maybe even an adventure tourers show. A show dedicated to us would bring in good ratings, anyone have any connections?

I would tune in if there was a program to watch as long as it didn't have Greg White as the host.
Speedvision was so much better |

Jason, it's good to see that you got another 'bird. I don't remember you posting anything about it, I just saw it appear under your avatar. IIRC, you were expecting a new Ducati, weren't you?
It would be great to have a sport-touring-oriented show, but it's too small of a market segment for SPEEDTV to spend money on. Instead, they make a show like Superbikes! that focuses on the stunt-riding segment, which attracts the younger viewers with the WOW! factor.

I've given up on Ducati, Paul. My order was placed last November, and it's been nothing short of a pain ever since. My local dealer kept having trouble filling their orders on the 1098 and the S4, so last month I went down there and requested my deposit back. That will take another month I'm told, plus a 5% cancellation fee the Ducati North America chews up. Fark 'em!

He had Ducati stuff long before it is SUPPOSED to be available. I don't ask. He also ALWAYS has out of this world MVs. His Aprilia inventory has dimished some lately (although the Mille Factory he has is probably about the prettiest bike I have ever seen).
Seriously, if any of you folks ever want a Duck, and have trouble getting one, I would talk to him before giving up hope.
Tell him, Rene sent you!

Good info, thanks sv. I thought it was strange that other dealers were receiving their orders, and mine wasn't. I called 5 different Ducati dealers asking if they were have long wait times, everyone said no. Then I started seeing 1098 after 1098 on Ebay, and started getting hot because my deposit was wrapped up on order. They couldn't transfer one from another dealer as they were already sold. That's when I decided forget it, they are too proud of themselves. Besides, it sucks waiting on parts.
