wow... that's messed up. At least it's pretty for sure he never felt a thing, just BANG, gone. I like how they say he died despite having been wearing a helmet, I'm not sure any kind of protection would save the rider from a 120MPH collision, especially being "impaled".

I woke up to this today.
Insane to be running that fast in town and at night. Target fixation? I don't know, that's a pretty flat and straight piece of hiway.
Wonder if the illumination lights were on there.

Maybe whoever wrote the article meant to say the rider impailed the back of the truck with his body.

I dont normally post this stuff but if one person could think twice about risking thier lives or those with them I consider it worth it.
RIP
The real tradegy is that last week his bud bought it one mile away from the same spot on the same road. This is a 6 lane, well lit, straight higway. The demographics look to be different for the XX owners but man I get bummed when good kids go before their time.

No offense, Dune- but I could've gone all night without seeing that, and I work with the stuff every day.
Although, as a PSA, it works well.
Horrible. RIP.

I'd like to respect his family more but like I said his bud died one mile away from the same spot just a couple of days after going to this guys funneral. You should see the comments posted on the news webiste. Cruel!
I did not geta (GRAPHIC) notice on the email these came from or I'd have just dumped the email as I dont do this well.

did his friend that died have a similar high-speed accident? Seeing that type of stuff is definately a rev-limiter for me. Very sad. I heard 4 riders were killed over the last weekend in the St. Louis area too, but haven't heard any details.

Very similar indeed. KOTV.com - The News On 6
I had heard that those pics were making the rounds, hadn't seen them yet, though. Wasn't sure if I wanted to or not.
Does make a powerful statement though.
RIP
