| The current issue of Robb Report Motorcycling features a fine article (Pg. 93) on a true classic bike: The six cylinder Honda CBX. In philosophical moods I see the XX as son of these beautiful monsters and have formally introduced them as such to the Bird (three pristine CBXs in my garage). Seems to me the heritage is similar: Honda, realizing it’s fallen behind (the CB750 is aging) drags it’s asses off the tatami mats, swears off the geishas and sake for a while to engineer and build the fastest most advanced production two wheeler in the world. Still very capable machines as I found out riding with Louis in Florida last month. Stock 79 was able to keep up at 130+ MPH speeds.
