Sandra. Not every one who doesn't ride a Harley is secretly envious of those who do. Most of us don't ride one because we don't want to. That is why we bought something else. It's exactly that attitude that attracts the comments.

I rode my 06 Ultra Classic around Atlanta Motor Speedway all it would do 95 to about 100 MPH never has a wobble of anykind. I had a RoadKing same thing except about 105 MPH no wobble. I rode my Blackbird the same except much higher speeds what a ride. I have had a few Kawasaki Motorcycles a 500, 750, KZ1000, and a 1100 GPz watch out for the first three if you lived through the wobble going up in speed usually between 100 to 115 MPH you were afraid to slow down because you got the same coming back down. Harley is not the first Motorcycle Company to be accused of this problem lawyers love a wobble wreck. I ride with both Harley Riders and SportBike riders and know a lot of riders have not seen a wobble in either nor no complaints. Most wobble problems come from tire change, balance, and underinflation. On Harleys you have to line the back wheel with the front when removal of the rear wheel this is not easy and done much by trial, Harley likes this because it makes us come back to them for proper installation and most do if the wheels are not in alighnment watch out it becomes a mystery bike and you will find yourself in a pile. Just a little experience from an old biker with experience that goes back to 1961. I also ride an 06 Ultra Classic and a 1998 CBR1100 XX the XX is my favorite.

It took a while for this to happen. There has always been that genral reliability issue with HD but I never really heard of something like the VFR RR problem or specific like that.

Right now today my son's V-Rod is parked next to my Aprilia in the company parking garage and we went out to ride at lunch and the Millie would not start... His v-rod was ready to rip. That still does not explain the $3300 in warranty work he's needed but at COB he'll be ridin home and my wife will be bringing the truck and ramp.

The V-Rod has been a failure for Harley. Harley is having a hard time selling the junk that they are making look at the show room floors and all the specials. There are too many good bike builders not to shop around. I like my Ultra for travel my wife rides with me but when I really want to ride the XX is the MC.

Well like anything, it must be maintained. I have a 2001 Road King, for two up weekends with the wife beside my XX, when I took delievery of it it also wobbled so I checked the suspension (air shocks) and it was not at the correct pressures for my size and weight since then I check it a few times a year and no more wobble.
