i was trying to rmove excess slack in throttle cable now carbs will not shut quickly. any suggestions? i really have no referance point from here and frustated!!  | ||

You should go back and reset cables to where you started. Also could just be the grip dragging on the switch housing. That happened to me once and i just tugged the grip back toward the end of the bar freeing up the movement. There should be no contact on housing.
