Mother Honda is just a big pussy... They're afraid if they bring this lineup here then they'll sell too many bikes here... and, well they'll sell too many bikes.

I'm very disappointed with their stateside offerings.

For real. I looked over all the stuff for sale over there. And what do we get? Redesigned 750 cruisers and other milk toast stuff.

Built with the look of speed…and the performance to back it up, the CBR1100XX Super Blackbird soars down the motorways with the breathtaking performance and velocity of the supersonic flier from which it takes its name. Expressway touring becomes a point and shoot affair of effortless acceleration and precise control. Tight mountain curves seem to straighten under its wheels. The Blackbird’s sleek, fully enclosed form envelops a highly tuned, fuel-injected 1,100cc inline-4 engine that delivers explosive rushes of acceleration tempered with silky smooth operation at all speeds. In satin black finish, its lightweight and highly rigid twin-spar aluminium frame firmly grips compliant, sure-handling Super Sports suspension systems and responsive Dual Combined Brakes, all of which contribute to its renowned balance of sports touring control.
Whether making blistering assaults at the sound barrier or taking leisurely 2-up tours to distant lands of mystery and intrigue, the Super Blackbird maximises your potential for long-term sports touring comfort and impeccably smooth high-speed runs across the landscape. Slip into its cockpit, open its afterburners, and you may never come back again.
...unless you live in the USA, in which case, we have a shiny crusier and a sportbike with "bold new graphics"....

You get what you pay for. Actually what sells. Believe you me if Honda colud sell them all they'd bring them all. Or what do you think? Honda doesn't like us and they don't bring'em here to us?

Please !!! Enough whining !!! Not you personally. Just picked your post to put it in contest.

For some reason beyond most of us, Honda's numbers don't add up to bringing it in, and so they don't.

I've been lusting over the T-Max for years and Yamaha refuses to bring it. Yet Honda brings that boat of Silver Wing and Suzuki the AN650 with electricaly retractable mirrors!! No nimble and powerful mega kick ass scooter TMax. Oh well, tough shit! Many people want the naked FZ1. No naked FZ1 for you! Read my lips, no new Blackbird. I want a TNT1130. Though shit! And on and on.....

If they are not avaliable is becuase somewhat, somewhere, someone has figured that the profits are not there. Why? Probably somethging to do with all them cruisers and average Joe mentality.

I'd like to have a Varadero, or even better an Africa Twin from a few years ago. Too bad we never got those here...

Gotta wonder what is going on at Honda. Did they move all the real bike marketing talent to the auto division? I mean WTF! Street legal conversions of xr650's was huge in Ca. Now that the dmv has effectivly closed all the loopholes (and is recalling the plates on 03 and newer conversions) , does Honda step up with a smogged motor? Not only no but I dont even see the xr in the line up. Sheeeit. Honda is not alone, the other Japanese manufacturers are asleep at the wheel as well. Looks like I'll be getting in line for a KTM exc.

P.S. Remember the Aamco transmission comercials with the chimpanzees beating on a trans. with baseball bats? Thats how I picture Honda marketing.

The only thing I can say is if you wonder why, come over here to Europe and you'll see. I imagine they sell more motos/scooters over here than probably anywhere except for Asia. Oh, and ALL the manufacturers have more models over here than in the States. If I could actually bring back one with me, I just might, but none of them are Stateside specs - even the models we do have. If Americans could get away from the huge cage mentality and get more into riding, maybe we'd be rewarded with more choices. Anytime you go into a city, big or small, you're greeted with a butt ton of scooters and motorcycles dodging in and out of traffic like crazy. It's the same reason the Italians are so damn good in racing - they start at like age 8! O.k, maybe not 8, but really friggin' young. It's the lifestyle here. I'm envious...
