Swatt Motorcycle Clip Ons

Hey Guys,

I've been looking to put a set of bars on my bird to raise up the riding position a bit. I have read the posts about using the VFR bars and actually just ordered a set today from my local dealer.

However in my research I discover Swatt Motorcycle products. (actually I read about them in cycleworld.)

Anyway have any on you tried their products before or can you tell me anything about them.

They cost about half as much and are made from billet aluminium. Thinking about purchasing these instead.

Thoughts?

Question number 2 is......if you have put risers on your bird how high can you go with the stock cables.

Swatt makes these up to 3.5 inches. But I figure that will not work without having to lengthen the cables. Maybe 2.5 inches will fit though.

Any thoughts on that?

Re: Swatt Motorcycle Clip Ons

The carbed birds have longer throttle cables than the FI birds so if you have an FI you could change them for carbed cables and that should be ok..

That is good to know about the carb bike cables. Mine is FI (2000)

Do you know how much longer the cables are?

Cables? I would be more worried about the brack lines being to short. I never looked to see how much slack is in them.
