So maybe not one of the smartest things to do on the road but I couldn't help it. I saw 2 brand new Ferraris pass by so I had to catch up to them to check em out. Well caught up to them at a light and they both happen to be in front at the line so naturally I passed through traffic to pull next to them. Well turns out one wants to race so i go for it and crush him. Its so great to see the look on their face when they realize they spent over $250k on their car and I spent less than $5k on my bike yet I'm still faster than they are. How often do you get to race a Ferrari? its definately not an everyday thing thats for sure.

I burned a Lambo off the lights once........ On a Suzuki VS1400 intruder
Imagine the look on his face, getting owned by a cruiser

It isn't a very smart thing to do. I'm with ya on that but its so much fun especially when it happens on the highway.

ha ha ha, wish i could have seen it, sounds great.
Reminds me of being in a car with a mate of mine, for us Aussies he was driving an old VK commodore with a VN 5 litre V8 and T700 in it for non Aussies its a 1984 model family car, it was a shit box nothing worked and even as a passanger i had to climb in through the window as the door didn't work (dukes of hazzard style).
Anyway we pulled up at a set of lights next to a brand new Mazda RX8 and it was on, he chopped it and then at the next oppertunity called out to the other driver "mine cost 3 grand, how much did yours cost"
very funny stuff

Had a similar incident happen to me with a Subaru WRX. We never got to raced because I asked him if he would put up his 'pink' slip. I smiled as his revs slowly decreased and I took off at a sedate pace

Same thing happened to me with a chap in a Carrera4 we where going for it for a while then pulled up next to him ( @ 150 180km ) he looked at me with a huge grin on his face so I just twisted the right side & left him with a upside down grin on his face |

I own a WRX (Early model with big turbo and lots of mods - makes around 170Kw at four wheels) which is a LOT of fun to drive - particularly in the twisties.
I haven't driven it since I bought the BB though |

I've had a few guys have a crack at me, and it's so funny when your pushin 200kmh in third or fourth and then nail it and leave them in their sad dissapointing world that they live in.

I had a recent similar experience with a Mazarrati last week but I'm not even sure of the model or even if its considered to be a fast model/car. I think the owner thought it was. Eventually flew by him and another mile or so up the road we get stopped by a light. The guy in the Maz pulls up next to me all PO'd and wants to have another go. This time from a dead start like a drag race instead of a roll on. Well this go around it was even more of a blow out and I'm pulling away quickly and run it up to about 110mph and decide that I've had enough fun and proved the point. Well I roll off the throttle and he finally starts to catch up and comes roaring past me. I wonder if he thought that he was passing me up at that point with the shear power of his vehicle. I would have to think that he have realized by that point that it wasn't a contest but he seemed pretty happy with himself as he was roaring by.

I have a new Boxster S and the wife & I went out - her in the car and me on the bike. I gave her a head start on a straightaway with a long sweeper at the end...she was moving along pretty good but I blasted by her like no tomorrow - now she wants to reverse it and take the bike with me in the car. She has a motorcycle license but I really don't want to witness her death!

I think my favorite race was out of the blue. I was sitting at a light in full gear, all black. This car pulls up next to me with some kid, his girlfriend and the buddy in the back seat. He's got the clutch in and starts revving. I ignore him. He keeps revving and honks his horn. I look over and he gives me one of those "what's up?" head nods. I nod once, turn to look ahead and flip down my visor. I rev a few times for good measure.
The light turns green, he drops the hammer and lights up his tires. He's got wheel hop. I'm keeping pace with him. Manage a glance over. He's hunched over the wheel like a mad man. A bit down the road I catch back up to him at the next light. I'm pounding my tank in frustration. The three of them are laughing their asses off.
It was about a 1982 Nissan Sentra or something like that. I don't think I ever cleared first gear. I was just havin' fun and they were dyin' laughing. At the next light, we pulled away steady, I gave them a nod, they gave me thumbs up, and I disappeared into the distance.

Yeah, the blackbird goes pretty good, but watch out! I was going up I-5 at a good rate and noticed a car coming up from way behind. He caught up to me, and I ditched him in the traffic, but then things cleared and I let him catch up to me. I was doing 100 when he caught up to me and when I hit 140 I could see it wasn't going to happen. He pulled off to get gas at the next off ramp and I buzzed over to see what he was driving. A turbo porsche 911 GT2. He probably had over 600HP

I don't know about you, but my 'bird cost me $3700. What do you think the Porscshe set him back?
I did go against a Viper once late at night. I was afraid he was gonna take me out, because I had seen it at a bar earlier that night. I stayed with him, but off his rear quarter panel. Once we hit open highway, I took off and buried him. I was enjoying the open road and thought it would be fun to blast past one more car before the exit. I was closing on it fast. That's when I noticed the reflective letters spelling HIGHWAY PATROL on the trunk lid. I grabbed the brakes as hard as I dared and exited the highway. 'nough fun for one night.

For a second I thought you meant the cop car was a Viper. There is a Viper cop car though up your way that was impounded - he ran from the cops, etc. and since he had priors, etc. he had to forfeit it...I've had 6 Vipers in the past and it was all over our forums.
Vipers are quick but not the most stable, especially on cold runflat tires and a cold road...I totalled one in Jan. 2007.

Cold tires -- Yeah, that's why I sat back. I could just picture him flooring it, spinning out wildly and knocking me right off the bike.
When I was out west, they had Mustang and then Camero (sp) pursuit vehicles. The Cameros were practically unmarked. They had super low-profile light bars with clear lenses. The cars were straight white with just a badge on the doors. You couldn't see them until it was too late. I just got stopped by a Dodge Charger pursuit vehicle in Wisconsin. |

Just got home after playing with a Shelby King Cobra Super Snake. Beautiful car and glorious sound! He tried to outrun me, but I just tucked in behind him until he slowed down and waved me by. Life is good.
