I just did a head count in my shed, and I have exactly the same number that I had 6 months ago......
If I could just convince the missus that her new bike neds to be a bird, then we would have a 100% population explosion!!!
As for an old mans bike, if you can use more than about 75% of this bikes potential on the street (regardless of age) then you might just have a little growin up to do......

| AAHHH... So what if a stock Bird is marginally slower than the newest liter bikes with a 10 year performance design advantage, a 125 pound weight difference, and in the case of the busa or zx14 - a 2-300 cc displacement advantage. If you need to win a drag race with any of these newest bikes, spend 500 bucks and put a 60shot nitrous shot on. Problem solved. Those bikes are hands down not as pretty, the fit and finish is not even up to standards of Honda's 10 year old design, and even basic maintenance is frustrating due to poor design and layout. Honda got it right the first time with the Blackbird. When the ONLY thing that can be complained about is a 20 horse defecit, people are really looking and stretching hard to find a fault, especially when it is being compared to the lastest and greatest new bikes. Remember too, these newest bikes had BIG bucks spent on R & D, while the bird has had no design change since 2000. Like I said before, Suki and Kawak are probably paying Honda not to build a new BBird.

I'm trying to get my best friend to buy an '02 with 20,000 Miles for $8,000 Can. It't totally tricked out with all the suspension upgrades, slip ons, Heli bars, two HIDs, Corbin seat, Corbin beatle bags, same colour, braided lines, new rubber, oil, hydrolics, brakes, and every receipt for every nickle spent. It was owned by a software engineer in Cali. He's riding an 08 Yanu 600 with three Givi's. He's put 15,000 kms in one year. In a few years with the same riding it will have too much milage and won't be worth much. He should sell then buy the Bird, actually he should buy the Bird then sell. They are virtually impossible to find in Vancouver let alone one like that. It's the best switch he could make, IMO. But hey, what the Hell do I know?
