OK This is it . Probably the Biggest Unanswered question that faces BlackBird Owners around the World.

What do you put on your Key that does'nt flap around in the wind, or, dingle and dangle on your triple tree and scratch it ?

Just the key, nothing connected to it. I've seen the damage that a key ring does to the triple clamp slamming around on every bump...

I only tend to take the key out is when I fill up and take the seat off..

Hi PH005,
I just remove the ignition key from the keyring and replace it when I get home and the head stock still looks new after 12 years, well 12 years in September and I still think it the best looking SPORTS/tourer on the market,

I use a rubber key chain thingy. No problems with noise or damage to the bike and easy to find the key in your pocket.

I don't have anything attached to the key. I had a '93 F2 and the top of the triple was hideous from the previous owner's key chain scratching it up, so I learned his lesson.

Felcro, man...
the soft part is attached to the alarm fob thing-a-ma-bop and the scratchy side is attached to the front of the top clamp where it doesn't show.

Don't use anything either. Mostly leave my key in the bike locked up in the garage and when riding I just put my key in my pocket.

Key and garage door opener. No scratches. But I am thinking of replacing my ignition.

Just had a thought. WOW, and it did'nt hurt ! Would'nt it be neat to have a thumb print reader in place of a key switch. Reads your personal print, opens the ignition system for a set priod, ( time to put your glove on (

Some bikes come with a keyless FOB these days. I wanna say the concours but I'n not sure if I am remembering that correctly. It has other advantages as well as it is also an anti theft device. The FOB just needs to be in proximity of the bike to allow it to start. I have a FOB set up in my cage.
