Finally picked up my Blackbird tonight. I took it for a little spin around the block, I forgot how much power they have. It aint no lumpy vtwin thats for sure.  Since it was dark out I realized that it does have HID lights, couldn't tell in the showroom, this wasn't standard in 2003 was it? Sorry about the pics they are from my cell. | ||

Congrats on getting you bird. Nice compact trailer setup too. Have you tried using a "Tyre-Down" on the back wheel instead of using tie downs on the front end? I can even overlook the fact it is a blech bird, but only because you have the HID installed - a great safety addition, they make it easier for cagers to see you.

It is a small boat trailer that I only use for the boat a couple of times a year so I modified it to take a bike. It comes in handy when a buddy breaks down some where but I never used it for myself until now. I plan on getting a removeable wheel chock for it. I use three 5 foot 2x12 planks reinforced with 2x4's for a ramp. It makes a nice wide ramp plus the trailer is pretty low so the angle is gradual. |
