Finally picked up my Blackbird tonight. I took it for a little spin around the block, I forgot how much power they have. It aint no lumpy vtwin thats for sure.

Since it was dark out I realized that it does have HID lights, couldn't tell in the showroom, this wasn't standard in 2003 was it?

Sorry about the pics they are from my cell.

Congrats on getting you bird. Nice compact trailer setup too. Have you tried using a "Tyre-Down" on the back wheel instead of using tie downs on the front end?

I can even overlook the fact it is a blech bird, but only because you have the HID installed - a great safety addition, they make it easier for cagers to see you.

What do you use to get the bike on and off the trailer?

It is a small boat trailer that I only use for the boat a couple of times a year so I modified it to take a bike. It comes in handy when a buddy breaks down some where but I never used it for myself until now.

I plan on getting a removeable wheel chock for it.

I use three 5 foot 2x12 planks reinforced with 2x4's for a ramp. It makes a nice wide ramp plus the trailer is pretty low so the angle is gradual.
