Well, got a ticket about two months ago for 70 in a 55...
Today I was breezing down Hwy 99 and buzzed around an undercover cop car at 90 and got pulled over. Damn, I thought! When the hell you gonna slow down fool!
The guy let me go....he asked if I had gotten any tickets lately, and I said "yes" and he said, don't tell me it was a speeding ticket and I said "yes". Anyway, he let me go. I slow down tomorrow.

Those sorry revenue generating bastids!! I don't or won't even pull over anymore.
Yes you are real lucky. Maybe the cop was a fellow rider such as us???

Cops in Chicago are normally pretty cool unless you are making a real spectacle of yourself. It is a bit hard to find anyplace to really crack it open in the city proper. I live real close to a revenue generating suburb or two. If you are ever in the Chicago area take it easy in Harwood Hts. They really $uk the big one. Most of the folks around here are aware of that area. Normally referred to as Hardon Hts. in these parts due to the donut eating law enforcement group that they have.

I got tagged Sunday on the way home from the mtns. Near where I passed 12 Harleys a few weeks ago. 81 in a 55 with a former co worker who was also coming home from trail riding his KTM 620 Dakar replica. I hot dogged a little up to 101 and then chopped the throttle and then saw the Walton County Deputy headed in the opposite direction.
I knew I was toast.
The cop pointed at us, and I waved, and he went on by, with no lights, etc. For 2 seconds I thought about running, but then reason took over and I waited for then inevitable.
Sure enough, here he came with the blues on. Sh*t.
We pulled over, and to make a long story short, after many yes sirs and no sirs, he wrote us WARNINGS! I couldn't believe it. He said "You know all these young kids on these things (pointed to the XX) cause all the problems, just be careful and slow it down, OK?"
Yes sir, Officer Gibbons. You been with the county 20 years, wow.
He knew the 'bird was some kind of Sports Bike, but couldn't ID the katoom even though it had REAL BIG letters that said K T M.
A miracle I attributed to my 72 year old mom always praying for me while I ride... |

I don't know if I've just been lucky or what, and I probably shouldn't post this because by doing so I might jinx myself. But I've been stopped for speeding so many times I've lost count. (Who's counting anyway) I have yet to recieve a single speeding ticket on my bike. Here's what I do... Pull over immediately, remove the helmet and have license, registration, and insurance card ready. Before he has a chance to say anything I say, I'm so sorry officer I was speeding and I didn't realize how fast I was going until I checked my speed after I saw you. They usually respond with a finger in the face lecture about how I should know better and to be more careful.
The last time I was stopped he beat me to the punch and said what's the hurry before I went into my act. He then proceeded to lecture me for about 35 minutes! All the while I was thinking, geez dude, STFU! I tried to light a cigarette about half way through his speil and he yanked from my mouth and stepped on it. Boy was he pissed! But he let me go! Funny thing is... I don't remember a damned thing he said.

I could definitely see the advantage og having a fuzz buster on a bike, i can adjust my speed WAY quicker than in my car...
