Quick question: These screens inside the umm...airflow..intake...openings--yeah, that sounds good-- on the front cowl, do you fabricate them yourself? Anyone have instructions? Seems simple enough, thought I'd ask though.
Thanxx

If you have a FI bike you dont want to put the mesh in the nose vents, it will disrupt the air flow too much. The carbed bikes came with the mesh. If you do some searching on vent mesh you will find more information.

The nostrils on the carbed bikes only goes to the oil cooler. So it was to protect it from bugs. In the injected bikes there are bars that stop large objects, but bugs just fill the traps in the lower airfilter until you replace the filter & clean them out!

Not mesh like a window screen, what I'm talking about would hardly seem like it would disrupt air flow at all! I'll do more searchin.
Thanxx guys

Take a look, this is the thead i was talking about : Mesh for Vent Covers
Obviously not window screens, but you are looking to do something like the mesh that is in the nose of the carbed birds.

On the FI Birds those vents are the RAM air intakes ! Do NOT block them in any way, period. John at Jaws-motorcycles will tell you the same.
I have all my orafice's covered with the gold mesh except for the ram air intakes on the nose.

Isn't that a power limiting option? You know, to silence the sirens once and for all.
(I was actually thinking the same thing as Armystrong, so thanks for asking the question and thanks for the concise answers!)
