thank gawd I already have a black bike, it would suck to have to spend that kind of money to paint an ugly color to black just to go as fast as I already do, I do feel bad for the rest of you and to make it up to one unlucky sole out there I will donate my black plastic when Its time to buy some new ones

Well it is on the black ones.

I'm wondering how the conversation goes (for those of you not on the fastest color BLACK) when you are describing your bike to people who stop and ask you about it.
Don't you guys that are riding BLACKBIRDS that aren't BLACK feel a little funny when you tell people the name of your bike? Don't the people that you are describing your bike to come back and ask you why your ride isn't BLACK if your bike is called a BLACKBIRD? OK so that conversation is probably ackward enough. Then how do you explain to these same people that you not only do not have a BLACK BLACKBIRD but because your bike is not BLACK it is also slower then the true BLACKBIRD? You could tell them about the IWTBBLIUTBSICBFA chip in the ECU and tell them thats the way Honda designed them but if you did that wouldn't the person that you are describing you bike to question your choice of bike and color? Maybe they were cheaper because Honda knew they were making them slower so they knew that they would have to reduce the price to get them to move ( I mean off the showroom floor that is. I do believe that they are capable of carrying some amount of forward motion. Maybe downhill with a good push. Of course I could be wrong and maybe Honda's intent was to make pretty little lawn ornaments)Yeah you could use the "they were cheaper then the BLACK ones" to explain that to them. You could also tell them that the design of the chip will allow it to move and be fast once you repaint your bikes BLACK. I guess that's what I would do if I had a non-BLACK BLACKBIRD.

I know, I would tell people that I bought it for my girl friend to learn on since its not as fast as a black Blackbird and that I choose to ride hers that day since mines getting way to many miles on it.

I tell them that the "black" bikes are for the beginers, and the better you get, the better the colour gets. Please see Honda's quick reference chart below.
black---->beginner/diaper wearer
blue----->amature
silver----> intermediate
Red------>expert
So, what colour is your bike again?
by the way, the black ones make the best lawn ornaments because of the training wheels, as they tend to stay upright during high winds. look at me, I'm bad luck Jack, I wanted red, but they sold me black

When people see my Red Bird, I tell them it is the fastest color of all the Blackbirds and they cannot argue with me because I have the only one around.

My, My. The things people will say to justify not being able to afford a silver XX.
Therapy and meds can help, but there's no substitute for quietly selling your bikes and stepping up to the real deal.

If you are going to have any chance of surviving in this thread, your going to have to kick it up a notch....because frankly I take therapy AND meds ...daily
But then again, you " every cloud has a silver lining" types are flighty at best. I doubt that you even know how to start a motorcycle, as it has been proven on at least seven occations that most, if not all, silver XX owners are merely poser's and/or sidewalk commando's who do no even own a bike, never mind even know how to ride one.
That being said, I do have a heart, so if you want to sit there and dream that the bike in the poster on the wall of your garage where your 3 cylinder russian made car is parked , is the "fastest" * clour * and you own it....then so be it. I won't burst your bubble.
" the real deal ".... is red baby, so sorry about your luck.
* because silver sucks so bad, it is not refered to as a colour or color.... the lowly term clour is used instead, and we all know that only sissy la la's own bikes , or posters of bikes that clour anyways * i now that you are fairly new on this, particular board, so i will help you to learn a "fact of life" here. All colours bow down to the fastest colour red. so you join your new slow cloured little friends and bow down to the red brigade, and maybe...just maybe you can touch one of our bikes some day...well, the wheel that is....you know, the rubber part. kneel suckers, you may worship the colour red now.............

So that's what they're calling it these days. Change hands before you cramp up.
Dr. Seuss can write you scripts all day and it still ain't gonna cure those chronic bouts of delusion that seem to plague you red XX owners.
But, we silver XX owners are a generous lot and will wait for you at the stop signs. Even if you finally score that rattle can red Ural dream bike you've been drooling over down at Ivan's.

You must be Egyptian.......cause your in de-nile.
As for the stop sign thing, you'll be waiting quite some time, as the red bikes would have gone thru it hours before you even got there.
But then again, I find it hard to believe that you would even be at a stop sign in the first place....unless your mommy drew one on your little XX poster for you.

Lois... You would need to paint your bike BLACK or be towing it behind a Porche to get to any stop sign before a true BLACKBIRD. Unless you did find a hill and give it a push and had a good headstart. If you try to bypass the IWTBBLIUTBSICBFA chip in the ECU the bike will stop functioning. So all of you riders of other colors should just paint your bikes BLACK. Good luck with the paint job. Hope to see you on the road when you gain forward motion.
