Piant, well put - bikes first, colour second. The red bird riders seem pretty serious about their colour issues but most of us are just having fun with this topic. The white bikes are cool but I hate the coloured lights - the blue ones are fine but when combined with the red they are horrendous (I had to slip that one in) | Did you see that??? He called me Army 666! There's evil genious over there, I must admit. If only your Bird were Red. Your evil genious wants us to think you're having fun w/this topic, while you seemingly, inoccently, albeit unsuccessfully, spray a thin layer of blue smurge --I made that up--across our collective subconscious. I was on to you a loooong time ago, big guy.

Oh, and one more thing.
Ah, Mr Nutter sir....I hit higher speeds backing out of a parking spot than most of your newer colors hit on a down hill straight away with a tail wind......so zipp it. i'm so happy , my names not fred, i don't pick my nose and my bike is bright red.

I dont really care about what futile statements, diatribe or absolute crap gets written here. I know my bird (which has a normal colour) is fast. If it can carry my fat arse to speeds in excess of $2.70, then it must be fast. Painting it retro red wont make it any faster. The only thing stopping it from being faster is (a) my fat arse, (b) the mind f^*k I have with cornering right now, and (c) Dunlop D205's.
There are lots of comments here about "my bike is fast", but nothing backing up those statements. Come on ladies, gentlemen and red bird owners - put your brain into gear and tell us why your colour is faster. No re-iterating dream sequences either.

I'm here for you buddy, all kidding a side. The last thing I want is for someone to feel bad or to get hurt. Here's a few pointers to get you going.
1) unless you weight 700 LBS, even a non red XX should be able to do 150 MPH. So, trust me, it's not your fat arse, please try again.
2) always take the low side, resist the urge to grab the brakes , stand the bike up and drive into the far ditch, or worse...on coming traffic. Besides, if you are off the bike on the inside of the corner, you are already close to the pavement. If you get in trouble, just let go and slide.....it's far better that being flung into the air on a highside. I realize that the color of your bike does not inspire much confindence for you, so if it helps, try tying something red to your handle bars...this may give you the strength that you seek.
3) I guess if you would run out and buy a bike the wrong color ....having the wrong tires on that particular bike really comes as no big surprise. They say that bad news travels in pairs...first the wrong color, then the wrong tire. if you had of bought a RED bike, it would have come with something good like Metzler M-1's or Z-6's....not crappy old D 205's.
I feel for you ....I really do. But just know that your RED brother is here if you need him. red is king you ding a ling

My last bike was red. I don't miss it now that I have a blue bike that beats it in every way.
PiAnt is spot on, the rider will determine what happens on a bike.

Red rode hard for me tonight at the 1/8 mile track and my first time ever on a track, 102.86 with a .519 R/T and a 7.752 in the 1/8.
I never did that before and can't wait to do it again but, I have to get leather pants before they will let me back on the track because my red Bird was too fast.
I had the only Blackbird there and I had more fun than anyone.

Wow my BLACKbird did a 7.075@105.48 in the 1/8 mile last Sunday. And all this time I thought red was faster. Course I was running a quarter mile time but my slip tells me both. And that was my first time ever on the track and I still dont have it dialed in so Ill be making faster times yet to come

We were so creative 2, 3 hundred posts ago. Can you other colors (of which we do not speak) offer more? And btw, here in the matrix, my dream sequences are my reality and my reality are my dream sequences.

Its going to take alot of talking by them red owners to come up with a new reason why there bikes are not faster now that there are numbers put out on the table.

It was so nice of you to only use first gear FS, as I know what it's like to be kicked out of clubs etc, because my RED XX is too fast, so doing what you did not only makes the people with the slower equipment feel like they actualy stand a chance against you....it also keeps them from banding together and voting you off the island.
So don't listen to Mr 7.075, as he was probably on the bottle when he made that run, or ...he got into a bottle, and is just tough talking you because he got so drunk that he forgot to pull his pants down to go to the bathroom, and is now just acting out because he has no other avenue to express his anger, and is now seeing RED, so's to speak. red is fast with just the throttle, while crappy colors must use the bottle, kneel suckers

I proved that my bike was faster and for the record I ONLY have a set of D+D slip-ons and I lowered it an inch I have yet to install my power comander to get the most out of it. So the truth is out that infact the "BLACK"bird is the king of them all.
