Black is a mysterious color associated with fear and the unknown (black holes). It usually has a negative connotation (blacklist, black humor, 'black death'). In heraldry, black is the symbol of grief.
Gray is the color of sorrow. People who favor gray can be the lone wolf type or narrow-minded. Gray with more silver in it can be a very active color. Native Americans associate gray with friendship. Gray is the symbol for security, maturity and dependability. It connotes responsibility and conservative practicality.
Red is the color of fire and blood, so it is associated with energy, speed, war, danger, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love.
Red is also the 1st chakra, the muladhara.
there you go spiritually red BB's are the fastest.
(*now how did I get to that conclusion???)

With my previous diversionary tactics dying a sad and horrible (just like a red bird) death, it looks like I will have to try again.
What do you get if you cross red and silver - HOT PINK.
So your bikes aren't super fast, or super cool, they are just

Red Birds by night,
Silver Birds by day,
If you ride one of these colours,
You're just super gay.

There once was a man from Lockhart
Who's bike was as slow as an ox cart
he dream't of the day, when he wouldn't be gay
and he'd own a RED bird like a rock star

Or how about this one.
There once was a man named Ted (silverbird)
who's bike was a slower color, instead
He said as he cried, how could that damn salesman have lied
and told him "sure, silver is just as fast as RED"...

There once was a dude named LOIS
Whose bike was far from the slowest
While riding in the summer heat
He found himself stuck to his seat
And discovered he actually had a clitorous

You red junkies sound like you are sooo on drugs.
Hob, angles of refraction aren't an issue if you are riding through one media (say - air) so I fail to see why you even brought it up. It's a desperate measure to be sure, to be sure. The speed of electromagnetic waves have very little to do with the speed of mass! If it does, red has a longer wavelength so it has a lower frequency (speed) than blue (for instance) or any other visible colour for that matter.
Sorry guys, I don't like picking on you so much but I'm just a bit over red since I've had three red bikes and now blue is for me! Just the right medicine!
I popped in to my local Honda dealer today to pick up a cam chain tensioner and saw two "new" iron nail grey CBR1100XX super blackbirds sitting there just waiting for a few very fortunate customers. I must say that they look pretty sweet, I can see why Nutter loves his so much. Isn't it great to be able to just pop in to see those beautiful new blackbirds waiting for their first owners!
I like silver and titanium too, I would be pleased to ride with you guys.
Welcome back you black super blackbird riders, we didn't hear from you much for a while. You're always welcome on this thread because black is pretty special to us because the word black is part of our favourite thing/s!
Glad to see everyone is getting on well - like a house on fire I could say!

you guys should just face the facts ... you can't escape the black brigade we are just too fast ... you skittles get run down everytime!!!
P.S. red is also the color of stop signs, they aren't fast only highly visisble
speaking of stopping, the color red has the amazing effect of halting the male urge during certain times of the month ... and for those that is doesn't affect, well ..... you guys just need help ... LOL
