I've had the Titanium (2000), the Red (2001), the Silver (2002) and now the Black with Gold Metal Flake (2003) and while the Black is BAD, the Red is my favorite!
Check out Corbin's website for Beetle Bags for the Bird..that red one was mine....she was SWEET!!

Rode up to West Point, NY and you guys have been sooooo right! 85 mph does feel like 50. Between 85-100 IS her sweet spot! I can almost read a book at that speed--well, you get the picture. And 120?? Effortless!!! Only now, am I beginning to understand the true, power of the dark side. Intoxicating. And that's all I have to say about that. | Just wait'll the first time you hit the powerband/warpdrive.....right around 6-7,000 RPM in 2nd & 3rd gears.......Hang on tight 'cause your arms'll wanna come outta their sockets & things get blurry REAL quick!!!

ya my front cowl got busted last fall and now there's a slight difference in color with the new front. I'm gonna keep putting a good wax on the old parts and leave the front to fade a little. It might drive me nuts tough. Well see.

When I had the Beetle Bags done on my 2001, Corbin did a great job of matching the paint but I know that other people have said that matching the red is a bitch. I don't know if it specific to the color or the combo of the color over the base coat, which, for some reason I seem to recall is silver....
Then again, I'm 55...could be a "senior moment". |
