| Just interested to know how much we all pay in our respective areas of the world..I'm knocking on the door of 50 and I have fully comprehensive insurance which sets me back Sterling 213.00 (USD 426) for a year. How much do you pay? |

$440.00 AUD for theft and third party only with $1000.00 excess.
This is for full new replacement value of bike and in case I t-bone a Rolls Royce. The bike has agreed value of $16500.00 ...... not current market value. I have never dropped a bike by my own doing (only on track days) and figure if I go down it will be some others fault .... and their insurance can worry about it.

In FL you don't have to carry insurance if the blue book value of your bike is less than $10,000, as long as you wear your gear. If you choose not to wear a helmet you HAVE to have insurance. Besides, my Bird is still in my father-in-law's name, but she'll be paid off in June & you bet your ass I'll have insurance on her then.

About $400 NZ, $320 USD or 160GBP fully comprehensive for my '99 'bird insured for about $10000 NZ. I'm 60 years old and get my insurance through the Honda Riders Club, although there are others that are pretty close.

$600/yr for liability only, if i were to add comprehensive, it would be $3k per year...
for a bike that cost me 5500 to begin with, i can't justify paying half of that "just in case" to an insurance company...

I pay 2500 USD a year but I have bundled up insurance. I have full coverage on my 97 XX, 06 PS1000LE, 02 MH900E, 99 RR, and 02 SV along with my 07 silverado 1LT hybrid, and my wifes 07 nissan sentra, along with 150k in home property, 25k in valuable personal property, and also covers hurricanes and earth quakes. Just for the XX its 330 a year but that is also with estimated value of 18,300 USD due to numerous upgrades.

$387/year, full coverage. Amazing what being married and over 25 does to your insurance. When I was 23, they'd have laughed their balls of when I said "CBR1100XX"!

I pay 30 bucks a month for fire, wind, and theft as well as liability. Probably go back to Progressive though because they are cheaper.

The only reasonable rates I could find were with State Farm even with a clean record. Most other quotes were laughable. I am paying ~$600 a year with full coverage and $1000 deduct. You can save a few hundred if you insure your car or home with them.
