    Bar risers from Jaws

I want to raise my stock bars, I did pull them all the way up on the fork legs last year, and that did help, but not enough, I still get sore shoulders and numb fingers.

I'm i doubt ...do I go for the VFR bars or the risers from Jaws ??? - is there anyobody that have tried them both and have some words of wisdom ???

    /John

    Re: Bar risers from Jaws

I've not had any experience of Risers or Heli Bars but my friend has them, his problem was that if he didnt angle them into towards the tank enough he had probs with clearance to the fairing..odd prob but he's an odd size..

OK, but as I understand, clearance should not be an issue with the risers from Jaws

Yes, my friend set them to the angle he liked them most..practically straight by all accounts, it was only when he got on the bike with his gloves on that the clearance became an issue...those carbon knuckle protectors have a lot to answer for ... he compared to my standard setup and I'd say they were 15 deg difference!!

Try Gen Mar risers...about 100.00 for a set-when I bought mine-will raise your bars about 3/4 of an inch.

    Re: Bar risers from Jaws

I just fitted a set of Jaws risers to my bird......real easy if you lift the front of the ground (ie no load on the front shocks at all) and follow the instructions.

They have definately improved my ride position combined with rotating the clutch and brake levers "forward" to relieve wrist pressure.

Ride with a loose grip pressure and you will tend to support yoursef with your torso.
