it wasn't me but I was out there tonight taking a quick lap down through Puyallup and then the Orting valley. It was great to get the cob webs off the bike.
Ya hopefully I can get one this weekend unless it's already sold then I would love to go riding with other bird riders. I'm not one to really speed around all over and it's hard to find someone who rides like I do on a sportbike. I love to go a 10-20 over sometimes depending on who's around, where I'm at, and how well I know the area.
Did you ever hear about the motorcycle accident that shut down the 512 between Meridian and the Fair exits back on Jan 30th 2005ish at about 8:30pm?
no I did not. I have been out of town for a while. Was it very bad?
there is still a XX for sale at a car lot on South Tacoma Way around 56th st.
It has been there for about 8 months now. It is silver and has low miles on it.
99 honda 1100 cbr xx blackbird with free gear
i saw this one on craigs list. It might be worth the drive to look at
Really? Someone just told me about that one today and I should have checkd it out. He said he saw it quite a while bike so I thought it was sold. Any idea on the price or which dealer? I don't head out that way too often but I do head out there for work on Tues, Wed, and Fri. (well out to Larson Porsche/Audi is the farthest I go.)
Ya some guy jack-knifed a truck and trailer that had a jeep on it and dropped a log out and caused a 5 biker (out of 13) pile up. It didn't make the news because it wasn't the bikers fault.
I was lucky enough not to hit the log but I did hit the rider in front of me. Somehow he ended up laying on the ground right under my front wheel and as soon as I hit him my front brake locked and I did a face plant at about 90-100, slide a good 100 yards right in front of a semi and made it to the shoulder. No one was hit by a car (amazingly) and I came out of it with a hairline fracture in my elbow.
Three days after buying my first brand new bike...

So now I don't ride in packs bigger than 5 usually and if it's a big pack I gotta know the riders pretty well.![]()
I do not like with large groups. 5 is a great number. Enough to have fun with but not enough to draw a lot of attention.
Your bike looks great. Are you going to keep it and get a XX?
I will be in the Tacoma area on friday and get you the info on the silver bird. It is on the east side of So Tacoma Way between 56th and 72nd.
I don't have that bike anymore. I sold it and bought a 954rr. Then I had to sell the 954rr to get a car and now I'm ready for another bike and I figure why not move up in the chain lol.
I currently have a 1996 CBR F3 with 32xx miles on it that I tore apart to put on a digital gauge and 2002 CBR F4i Fairings to make it look nicer but I still would love a liter bike again.

It had an extended kick stand that liked to tip itself over as well so I had to replace that too lol.

getting late. time to get a little sleep. send me a pm and we can go for a ride
Well I went to that place on South Tacoma way and 56th and they wouldn't take below $6894 out the door. It's a 2002, 20k+ miles with a corbin seat. Has little scratches all over the tank and a small dent on it as well. If I had the money I might have gotten it, but there's also a guy up north with an '03 for $7200 obo and lower miles.
Instead I'm going to go check out the '99 up north for $4000 obo with jardin pipes. He said it has scratches and a crack on the front but only plastic damage and the turn signal is working funny, other than that it's all good with 16k miles.
Hopefully by this weekend I'll have myself a lil birdy.![]()
I thought he wanted way more money than the bike was worth. Let me know how the one up north looks.
Today looks like a great day for a ride. I might head out for a couple of hours later this afternoon.
Stupid bank said they'd have the loan information to me by yesterday and I went in today to find out they haven't gotten the loan info yet. So now I gotta wait til monday, but the guy still wants to meet today and let me test drive it and check it out.
