I've heard you can remove the linkage and cut the threaded stud shorter and you get more adjustment, but I haven't done it yet. (not till I get my brackets) |

After installing the lowered foot peg brackets of Dave, my rear brake pedal is too high. However, it was already adjusted to the lowest. Since the brackets lowered the pegs 3/4", the brake pedal is therefore 3/4" too hight for me.
Me too I like to have not have to lift my foot to hit the brake and cutting the threaded rod won't work as it doesn't hit the rod at all currently.
I'm wondering it it's ok to remove the upper adjustment nut completely so that the brake pedal presses on the push rod nut and therefore the brake pedal is lowered?

Maybe some people have better articulating ankles than others.

Yeah that's what I had to do, now the pedal is about level with the sole of my boot when the peg is in the arch of the shoe so I just have to lift the toes up and over to push the brake |

I have a set of Buell pegs and for me they are wonderfull.
Stock pipes of course.
Adjustment of the shifter and rear break lever were of course a must.
My brake lever is also a little higher than it was in stock form.
Got used to it , now if I jumped on a stock setup I'd be HUNTING for the lever.

I'd like to get in on the order for a set out of the next batch, but I keep getting DNS errors when trying to open the .org site.
PM the maker and send paypal, or just wait for them to hopefully come back online?
Thanks for working this out, and taking the time to build them!

I finally got round to fitting mine today, it took me all of ten minutes. I had to move the gear lever around a couple of splines, but can't seem to figure any adjustment on the brake lever
Test ride shows less knee bend, or I can actually ride with the balls of my feet on the pegs!!

Any update for those of us waiting on round 2? I'm headed to Colorado/Utah in June and starting to think strongly about leaving the FJR at home this time .

Thanks Dave!
Got the kit yesterday and have a question to those you already have installed the kit.
Compared to the stock pegs the spring tension engagement point when bending the peg back has shifted quite a bit. As I bend the peg back is has no spring tension until its a good halfway up. Is this expected?
I realize when I'm riding its down and has my weight sitting on it but with no load they "flop around" due to the late spring action.
Hopefully I'm just missing something.

Wow, what a difference. Did a 300 mile day and didn't feel one bit fatigued. Usually I develop a slight tightness in my left knee around the 150 mile mark. Never occurred with the new pegs. Can't remember the last time I was this comfy on a bike. Need a slight lowering of the shifter and brake pedal but nothing major.
Making me wonder once I get the suspension upgraded whether the FJR is going to survive or not.
Thank you Dave!
