Hello guys and girls.
Just wonder what you pay in insurance for the bird, around the world.
Here in norway it is expencive if you are below 30yrs. (depends if you live in a city or country region also then)
Im 29yrs.
I pay now in usd $1339 for 1.year policy. With 60% innsurance bonus, and discount for having all my insurance at one company.
If i didnt have any discount i`d pay about usd $2142.
Hopefuly next year ill go down to usd $714. (approx)
How is it with you guys ???

I'm paying about $650 a year for insurance on mine.. I'm 26yrs old, in Salt Lake City, UT. Insurance drops here at 25yrs old, or if you're married.. I'm single.. My dad is 51 and insurance for his and my mom's bike is only like $300 a year for full coverage on both bikes, and a bunch of other stuff.. But he hasn't had a ticket since he was my age (He reminds me every time I get a new ticket)..

I paid AU$700 for full comprehensive insurance at the dealer. Will shop around when renewal time is here, should get it cheaper than that.

I pay about $700/yr for full covg Comprehensive and Collision (coll with $1,000 deduct) or about $500/yr with no collision covg.
Of course I have higher than normal UM/UIM covg.

$594 per year here in the great Commonwealth of PA with $250 deductible on collision and $100 deductible on comprehensive. Evidently they view the Bird as a "high risk" bike as collision alone is $304 of the yearly amount and that's double the cost of both my VTX and Valkyrie...COMBINED! I also carry $3000 per bike in optional accessory coverage. All in all not a bad deal. It's all through Allstate. Geico and Progressive couldn't come close to those numbers.

I think I pay about $850 a year for full coverage on both my '03 XX and my wife's '07 SV650S. After seeing some of those prices I don't feel so bad. This is through Geico.

Wow, I guess I definitely have good rates on insurance b/c my '02 XX is $265/year for full coverage with a $500 deductible on comp and collision. And, my wife's '04 SV650 runs $280 with the same coverage.
I am 25, but I don't think anything else matters for reducing costs on motorcycle coverage. We do have our house, 2 cars, 1 truck, and 2 motorcycles on the same policy, but none of that affects our motorcycle policies.

Well I knew Canada was bad for insurance rates and Ontario is the worst but you guys don't know how good you got it.I use to pay $900 a year that's with a 25% surcharge for a sportbike, then it became 90% and over $1500 a year and that's just liability but that's because I couldn't get in with ALLSTATE.I know of many customers in their 20's paying $4000-5000 a year for a 600.
And we can only ride 8 months a year and 3 of those suck.
I've been quoted $500 for the 600 next year and that looks really good to me.
Anybody want to lend me their US address?

AU$800 for full comprehensve. This has paid for itself already. Bought the bike new in Aug last year. Early Dec some bloke backed into it while it was parked and did AU$4000 damage. Now I only have to haggle over my $400 excess!

Well... having come from an insurance background I knew it would be all over the place. I had quotes as high as $2500 AUD. Settled for $530 AUD would of been less but my bike has an aftermarket exhaust.

I pay about $348.00 a year for full coverage with a $500.00 deductable through State Farm.
But I get a huge discount because I also insure my house, truck and my car through them. State Farm doesn't go by what type of bike you have. They only go by cc's. And I suppose being over 50 and having a good FICO score doesn't hurt.
