Now that he won his first SCCA national championship (auto racing). After his win, the SportsCar magazine interviewer asked him, "Aren't you a nobody?", and his quick reply was, "Not any longer."

Our car is a GSXR 1000 powered sports racer competing the B Modified class against other sports racer and Formula Atlantics. It weights 1000 lbs with driver. I've spent the past 3 years developing the car and the aerodynamic package in particular. It's been a fun project.

Congrats to your son, could you post some more pictures of the car? Oh, and here's an idea.. Have him use his future racing contacts to get Honda to bring back the Blackbird.. Maybe make a Turbo standard on all future birds.. See what Suzuki and Kawisaki does then.. lol..

Congratulations with this achievement.

But why do you post this in a CBR1100XXforum?

Neither. I know him from the SHO forum. Haven't spoken to him in a while. Is he deployed? Last I spoke to him he had just bought a GSXR(I think).

No deployment yet, current plan is for early '09, but it's been changing, so you never know. He's got an '05 GSXR 600, which is due for new plastics since he had a lowside at the track a few weeks ago. He's still a little sore from it.

I would realy like to se pics of your sons car and if you are interested, I can try to find my old drawings and send it to you.

That's quite an accomplishment. I used to race SCCA showroom stock back in the late 80s, finished as high as 4th at the national championship. The competiton is as furious as pro , winning in your own design car must be very satisfing.
