I ok I have been trying to get off the line faster and used the technique of 5000 rpm and then letting the clutch out slow.

But most of the time when I do this the clutch grabs/surges. This causes the ront itre to come up. Does anyone think that the clutch could be bad? or does the lines need bled?

?????

Quite possibly. The clutch gets very grabby after a burn out I've found, mine was worn beyond service limits, both steel and friction plates and the push rod was warped when it started doing the same thing, yet it felt fine in normal driving.Only one way to know for sure.
The problem has been cured by modifying a steel plate,if your interested let me know.

I got this from Elixxer who I believe heard it from EFR.Take the last steel plate(closest to engine),grind the teeth out of it so you have a big washer.Put it back in first, instead of a friction plate first, then put 2 frictions together, then normal order.Steel are the drive plates,so by eliminating it from holding the hub it no longer drives but you keep the stack height the same.I don't know how those 2 frictions are going to wear compared to the others but I don't care, the difference is amazing.
As for clutch plates, every racer I know has always stock plates no matter what brand of bike they have, they last the longest and Barnett is usually about the same price anyway.
