Hi Plavnik and greetings from New Zealand. We seem to have a good geographic spread of Blackbirds! Don't you run your bikes in the winter with spikes in the tyres? |

Russia must have some awsome riding with the size of you country. What's the speed limits and can you "pay" for your fines on the spot? I never thought there would be so many Birds. Cheers, from across the Arctic.

I was in Moscow on business a few months ago. The bikers hang out on top of this hill; I don't remember the name but it's the highest point in Moscow.
The Russian riders are quite similar to American riders. I think they ride a little crazier though, possibily because car drivers are a bit nuts themselves.
I ended up hanging out with a bunch of guys and despite the language barrier, we understood each other close enough.

Always !!!

The same guy that brought me up to Gora ended up telling me we would ride the next day. He has some Aprilira Supermotard bikes that he keeps at his shop. I was like, "Sure". As the night progressed and we became very drunk, I was getting excited at the prospect that I would be riding a motorcycle in Moscow. I mean, how cool is that?
The next day his workers show up at the hotel and they tell me "Vladimir is sick and can't ride". He called on his cell phone and through a translator I told him I didn't blame him; I probably would have chickened out letting a complete (Foreign) stranger ride one of my bikes too!
Vladimir has a few Honda's with studded tires; he says he likes riding in the winter because it doesn't hurt as much when you crash. Crazy Russian.
