Just wondering if anybody else is having partner problems , my wife has come to the conclusion that i prefer being out on my BB more than out shopping with her (not surprising i think ),thinks i act like a kid with it, she doesn't like bikes , says there dangerous ,has been on back but didn't like it.

anyone else had/having same sort of probs.

I would think that she should take solice in the fact that she knows where you are, what you are doing and what you're spending your money on. Would she rather have you out drinking with your mates, gambling and chasing loose women?

Of course this all assumes that you're NOT doing all those things AND riding the BB too.

She's just exercising her "power". That is, complaining, scolding, making sure you're "wrong", the bad guy in the dog house, while she's in "boss" mode. It's so ingrained that they do it subconsciously. And we so hate having women angry and unhappy with us that we kiss their asses to make it stop when all they're doing is acting like spoiled brats. Put the shoe on the other foot about her shopping and spending addiction -- think she'd put up with that for a second? Nope -- major league fit would be thrown by most women. The better looking they are, the worse this is. Past 40, it's an epidemic. I keep hoping to find an exception -- and it keeps looking like for past 40 women, that may be a vain hope.

Always remember: if it flies, floats or ****s, you're better off renting it.

trading her in for a new models an idea but don't think i would get a decent price , and i might end up with a more expensive one , best i can think of is to store her in the garage and only bring her out when it snows .

there is no good answer to this dilemma.
I was going thru the beginning of my "crisis" and bought a red 1995 saab 900 turbo convertible in super condition. my then wife kept complaining that I treated my car better than her. etc etc.
I guess women are scared of any new passion, and worry that as we develop a passion for other things whether it is cars, motorcycles etc our passion for them fades.
this is esepcially true after 40, when people feel that the building phase of a relationship, is over, and then what is left? watching tv?
in cases where couples are lucky they share activities and hobbies, whatever it may be. golf, motorcycling, etc.

if not then there is a chance the relationship will suffer.

Well anyways you know , it starts with motorcycles, then drinking with your biker buddies at the local strip joint, and banging hookers in sleazy motels.
before you know it you will be wearing a skull cap, black body paint and nipple clamps.

I wish you good luck and hope it goes well for you.
if not well there are plenty of strip clubs and sleazy motels.

I ride with a group every Sunday in Charleston, SC. one day my wife is looking over my shoulder at the website and sees me standing next to a girl that rides with us. There are 4 other women that ride bikes with us and I've been accused of having an affair with all of them, just for standing in a photo that was taken. Lord give me sign!

I believe my wife has the same problem as yours by not fully appreciating the BB and the GSX R. She is cleaver enough though to keep a low profile in this matter. Your wife is of course fully aware that you rather spend some quality time with the bike and your friends than wasting time, patience and money on her shopping needs. Freedom cost, it is just to face this fact. You could to nice things together that are more fun than shopping, like make an extra holiday trip a year or so. If that doesn't help, it may be time to tell her she is replacable.

The undeniable reality of the forces of gravity and the natural aging process is in full bloom with women over 40. Its pretty evident they are not "hotties" anymore.

Some women accept this fact more gracefully than others.

I still enjoy looking at what I've always enjoyed looking at.

I'm sure I will until the day I die.

Nature helps by reducing our vision for each year . And seriously I fully agree, as long as the wife or any people are friendly and dont hate themself or others they can look whatever the nature dictates.

After 15 years of telling my wife that I didn't want her to have her own bike, the same day I got my BB, I bought her a Virago. Now we go on rides together, clean our bikes together, and look for ways to upgrade our bikes. When I get something new for my BB, she wants something for her bike. Good thing there is not too much you can do with a Virago. She does let me go on rides with the boys without her. I guess I am pretty lucky.

Yep, Da wife is good but I'd rather ride than be with anyone.

I always said if you are in the dog house make it as comfortable as possible.
My BB is my one true hobby/passion and my wife knows that but I make sure they get equal time and that stops most problems before they start.

My wife loves riding pillon, especially long mult-day touring. She makes good dosh so she doesn't need me to go shopping. She doesn't even mind the "brown" stuff. What's not to like? Next to her, my Bird is my passion.
