Black bird lover here,,have a 2002 and a 2003.....i had a question; the bird seems like a "perfect" bike in a lot of ways,,,,with regard to technology, what do the new sport/tour bikes have that the Bird does not? are the new bikes all that more advanced than the Bird??? i know there are some bikes with more horse power, but anything else??? just curious,.....Dennis

XX = comfort/speed/dependability/price

New bikes =comfort/speed/higher price/ no real "new" technology


this ought to open up a can o worms.....

Better Factory Suspension, Hard Bags, Shaft Drive, more upright riding position, Larger output Stator.

All of the competition comes with fully adjustable suspension.

The lack of adjustable suspension would not be such a bad thing if it were set up correctly in the first place.
It's not. The stock BlackBird is undersprung and has too much compression damping.
