I have only touched the limiter a couple of times and that was on the drag strip. I short shift on the street when I get on the freeway and still exceed the posted limit by twice over before I even hit freeway traffic and have to slow down.
My Bird does see 10,000 rpm on a semi regular basis but, the redline is not nessesary on the street.

....i'm gonna put it this way...i belong to a family with 30 years of motorsport experience in this country..and especially on bikes ..."so how should i know that?" you'll say...well now you do...and if that can't answer your question then science lifts her hands up about your case...get a life ,or should i say get a rev limiter...? (or did you missed that class also..?)... |

I've redlined a couple of times. No real point, though. The bike scoots along pretty good without going past 11K. What I wouldn't give for more midrange.
