As far as function goes I don't think it matters, I went for VFR VTech bars because they look nicer ( a lot of people don't notice they are there ) being alloy and styled rather than steel tube JMHO

are the vfr bars straight bolt on, I just got a set in from the dealer and they say some boring is needed

If they are "VTech" bars (2002 onward) then they should slip straight on as they are 43mm I.D the same as the XX forks, if they are from an earlier VFR then they willbe 41mm I.D and need to be bored out One of the guys on .org just used a flapwheel in a drill to do it

Hi,

today I bought the VFR bars!
You need them from 2002 and that they fit there must be some cuts on the side of the breaks.

CBR 1100 Super-Blackbird - VFR Lenkerstummel an der CBR1100 ca 3cm höher

Look at the Pics, with this cuts everithing works fine. I will do it this week and make better pics as on this page.

EDIT: for the video use Internet Explorer, ther you can see it well.
