Intrigued that the old poll "If there were no Birds" got resurrected, but eight years ago the OP only listed Japanese bikes.

So...

If you were to replace your Blackbird with something that exists in 2016... which manufacturer?

ok as only have one choice have opted for Triumph.

As said elsewhere purely on looks it would be the Triumph Sprint , could almost be the Birds younger Sister
I had a Sprint GT, and it was a great bike, I loved the way it looked, but in the end I traded it on the ZX14 because after a Blackbird previously, the Sprint just lacked authority.

The Sprint was super comfy though

Then of course I bought another Bird as well :-/

Had a ZZR for a couple of years, but never really gelled with the riding position and, of course, the handling.

To be fair, it's a long, long bike, so maybe I expected too much - but then the rust appeared after 6 months and I fell out with it, despite the brilliant looks, unbelievable motor, great brakes, dashboard etc. Still got my vote on here, though.

Now, they're turning them out in awesome liveries with Ohlins and all sorts of bling - but I was still surprised to see how many folk on here have gone for the big Kwak.

...Be interesting to see how it all ends!

Im thinking maybe a big triple or twin that still has twisty fun, but can have a cruisier feel. Too much to ask i know

28 min is too long!!

I know! I always wanted a bird and finally stumbled on the one I have last year and had the bread burning holes in my pockets.
And always wanted a TL 1000r. I think it is like using a sledge hammer to put in a finishing screw! I used to have an early V-Max and it was so much fun except it didn't fit my 202cm frame!

And at 202cm, a blackbird fits you? Have you made any mods to make it fit? I'm about 194cm (6'4") and I'm having a hard time being comfy on my bird...
