$31,000 to $38,000 is right around what guys are spending on new Hardley's, Victory's, Indians, etc. Not really way out there...especially when they all need to buy aftermarket seats *after* their purchase in order to be able to ride more than 50 miles. :-)

Agreed, the price is inline with other "production boutique" American brands. It'd be nice if some of the cruiser crowd could branch out from the Harley look crowd. I hate Harley, especially after what they did to Buell, but still have to admire their marketing chops. Not many other corporations have people spending $$ to permanently etch a logo into their skin.

The bird is simply amazing value.

Price no object? Man that's easy The RC213S-V. If I'm correct, it was at isle of man in 2015? This is Honda's Ace card in the supersport game. And it's damn fast on a public road.

Re: If there were no Birds... 2016

ZX-14R just rode one yesterday traded with a buddy for about an hour and a half he has risers, a corbin seat hush puppuy? grips and a double bubble.
It was AWESOME and amazing, smooth and fast as hell.
If no bird I would be going there 2008 or newer seems to be the ticket.
Get me some bags for it and ride like the wind.

Re: If there were no Birds... 2016

I thought about this for years. After 16 years, and 3 XXs, I bought a new 2016 ZX14 SE ABS last summer. After 3,000 miles, I must say that this is the perfect replacement for the XX. It's a shame that Honda didn't build it. I've always owned Hondas for nearly 50 years, with a couple others thrown in along the way of course. The ZX14 seems like it does everything the XX did, but a little better, with about 40 more hp....

Re: If there were no Birds... 2016

I just bought a ZZR 14 after owning 3 different Blackbirds and a couple of other bikes here in Japan.
My Blackbirds were all a bit tired and in need of attention but the motors were still good.
A lack of technical skills and time to fix them convinced me to trade up .
The ZZR is so smooth and ridiculously fast . I absolutely love this bike .
