While it pains me to hear that some are now birdless, including our elustrious leader... Conq... what the hell... really? I am more than overjoyed to tell y'all that my baby is back from the shop looking spiffier than ever! Loving the Helibars and new Stradas! Little scary at first leaving the shop especially after not riding it for 2 months. The shop is in a crap part of a very busy Italian town. Almost got taken out 3 times during the trip (once in the car!!!) But, getting back to normal again and the confidence is returning. Either I'm not remembering right or there's just a really noticeable positive difference with the bars and the new tires. Just seems much more comfortable (3 hours riding, no pain in the wrists) and stable (42 psi seemed harsh and a little twitchy with the Macadams, but downright awesome with the Stradas). Might also have something to do with having new forks, though the old ones only had about 8k on them which I don't THINK is a lot. Anyways, it's great to be back riding. Here's a shot of my baby and some new kit I got. Tourmaster Intake mesh jacket and Fieldsheer Mesh pants. Both work awesome. It's been 111F the past few days here and while it's sucked, it's better with the mesh. Take care guys and gals!

You realize, of course, that Black sucks up heat. Happy riding.

Thanks guys! Yes, I do realize that the darker colors absorb more heat, but when you buy your gear once a decade, you tend to want it to work with whatever bike you may have at the time and anything light enough to make a difference would look/get dirty way too quick. In 111F temps, no amount of light color is going to make much of a difference, but the mesh at least keeps the heat from taking my concentration off of riding. Plus, they were out of purple. Just kidding |
