Mistake #1, letting Dad ride your Bird
Mistake #2, not replacing it.
Mistake #3, thinking the bike is too fast for you.

If you have spent any time really riding your Blackbird, no other bike will do......

Why not just GROW UP and ride responsibly. At least pick your moments. Perhaps you just shouldn't be on any bike. We are Bird Lovers, mostly we ride fast when the opportunity arrises, most "do not attempt to outrun the police" I believe. We all have jobs, many need their licence for work. Most of us have, unfortunately dropped our bike, at some unfortunate time. A few of us have had an accident. BUT WE ALL LOVE THE BIRD! Only a few publish their stupidity on this board, unless it deals with a woman. Grow up and from what you've told us, by all means sell your Bird to someone who will appreciate it. I understand there are many good scooters available.

Well, I was planning to cross the border in July, and I still intend to. I you don't wave, who cares. Don't pout, just learn to ride. Does this mean you're not coming up to the Great White North? Bird owners are not assholes, maybe you, a little one though. Let us know when you get your new ride.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have to admit I already knew the answer. I was just having a cheap shot at a throwaway comment. I don't think Ive met a American tourist or worker I haven't liked yet. Still time though, I suppose.

Never met a Yankee I didn't like. I love your comparison I'm LOL. In all seriousness, I can't imagine a summer without touring some in the USA. I've never been hassled and always feel welcome. Everything is cheaper and I've never been challenged on the road or elsewhere. Usually, what you "put out" is what you get back. There is no one I'd rather have as my neighbour although " I am Canadian". If you can even find a good beer in the States. And I don't mean "Bud Lite". Crossing the border is a snap, just choose the right time and crossing. Many guards are riders.
For the "youngster" who started this thread, just learn to ride and don't post your studidity on-line. When you grow up, come on up North, you'll find some of the best riding, wide open spaces, and if you ride "off road" the Yukon is brilliant. Cheers, and be caucious with that "middle" finger, it could come back and bite you on the ass. Quote:
