Dublin | Have you tried finding a Harley Davidson Dealer They can definately get them in the UK as there are a few guys on B.I.R.D and IXXRA that have them B.I.R.D. - Lowered footpegs, B.I.R.D. - Buell Pegs, The IXXRA XX Factor :: View topic - Did the Footpeg Mod, The IXXRA XX Factor :: View topic - Buel footpeg conversion, The IXXRA XX Factor :: View topic - lowering foot pegs |

ireland | Derek have you seen these Footpeg Lowering Brackets by davesxx01, I got a set of these last year on the first run and they made a huge difference to me as I too am ~6'1'' and 300lb's with iffy knees. They drop the stock footpeg down ~ the same amount as the Buell pegs, in fact I was going to do the Buell peg mod until I saw these as I liked the idea of keeping the rubber footpegs I also raised my bars but instead of risers I put on VFR VTech bars |

derek | Yeah the Vtech bars are great - They are not cheap (~120 pounds from http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/c...bar, Left hand Genuine Spares|VFR800 02/03/04/05/06/A2/A3/A4/A5/A6|VFR800 V-TEC : Handlebar, Left hand ) but they raise the bar height ~1 1/4" + move the bars back about 1/2" I think and are ~1/2" wider tip to tip I think which does not sound like much but makes a huge difference . They are a straight swap except that you need to take off the front lug (Dremel or small hacksaw) that stops the brake and clutch banjo's from turning. You need to just loosen the banjo bolts a small amount ( not enough to let air in ) and pivot the banjo forward to allow the reservoirs to mount correctly. Then just move everything over onto the VTech bars and slip the bars onto the forks, B.I.R.D. - VTEC BARS QUESTION, Blackbird Owners Club :: View topic - Differences between Handlebars - Original - VFR - Variobar, here is some more on the Buell pegs although it looks like you have found the link re DavesXXo1's lowering brackets Blackbird Owners Club :: View topic - [Howto] Replace steps by Buell ones, I was lucky with my VFR bars I got the pair second hand for $150US, but as the word has got out about them they don't come up on eBay very often and the prices have jumped |
