Just wondering if anyone has switched over yet? As we are all aware gas prices are crazy right now and E85 is a little cheaper. Also I was thinking that if we had power programmers we could run a little more timing and hopefully make a little more power!! I work at a shop that works on turbo imports and we've run E85 without changing anything in the fuel systems. So far so good! Just looking for some comments- ideas

I don't think that there is enough stainless steel and fuel tolerant rubber in the XX to put up with the e85 formulations. Not really worth the effort or risk. Your fuel mileage WILL be reduced dramatically, however, and that fact alone will more than offset the slight reduction in the cost at the pump!

Yep, E85 costs about the same per mile (not per gallon) because it is cheaper per gallon, but you use more of it to get the same BTU's at gasoline, so it's pretty much a wash... Plus the fact that people are currently going through fuel pressure regulators, presumably because of the 10% ethenol in the gasoline, so I would think going E85 would be a bad idea.

Interesting I figured for sure the turbo guys may want to use it sue to the higher octane and better cooling effect. I didnt know people were replacing fprs. In the cars they have been lasting so far even with E85. Thanks for the info.
