I almost have my bike the way I like it. I had the seat shaved and the bike lowered one inch. I have a 32" inseam, and without lowering the bike I couldn't get both feet flat on the ground (I could get one foot flat, and one foot on the ball). Now that it's been lowered, I'm much happier, because the bike is heavy for a sportbike. I like that, though, because it doesn't get blown around on the highway like my little Ninja 250 does . (I still love the little Ninja, it's the best in-town commuter, and once I get the sprocket changed it won't be at such a high rpm at 65mph on the highway).

However, the footpegs on the Blackbird are too high for me. The left side is mostly okay, but I have to put the ball (not the heel) of my right foot on the peg to be comfortable, and even then it's not ideal. So I guess the next mod is to get rearsets. The Gilles, right? Am I going to be able to adjust them to lower-than-stock pegs? And which ones do I order? The CBR1100XX isn't listed as a model on any of the sites I've visited.

Thanks for your input.

I have the Gilles Tooling rearsets on my bike, you can get them to be a little lower but they will be just a touch (1/2" or so) further back as well.

I don't understand you not being able to touch the ground though. What seat do you have on there. I have the stock seat and I'm able to flat foot with both feet and I only have a 30" inseam.

Got me a bit confused as well. I have a 29 1/2 inch inseam, and I have no troubles what so ever getting both feet flat on the floor.

Go with the Buell makes a big difference, lowers the peg 1" costs less then 20 bucks.
