Well, if you must have that particular bike (and I can't blame you id you do), I know of one that will be for sale sometime in the next 30 days.

It is in superb mechanical condition, though is does have a couple of miles on it....

Here's a shot of it I took in June, 2003:

Black 98 for me.

I still love her after all these miles/years.

Going to try to get 76k miles on her before the snow flies.

I have a 2002, I wished we could get them bak here in the states but then our bikes would be as well known as the Busa, being unique is nice.

Had a 1998 Blackbird, Yosh slip-ons.

Have a 2000 titanium bird with Yosh 4-2-1, K&N, Heli-bars, Throttlemeister's. Moved to Colorado and wanted FI but still retain analog gauges.

I am on my third Bird, an 01, I love the color! Had a new 97 and an 02! They are great bikes. The first two, I did a little dragging with, totally stock. My 01 I am looking more into comfort. You know higher bars, a little higher touring windscreen, and lowering pegs. I still like to pull to the trigger once in a while and blast past 180!

Ride Safe Everyone

Both birds I have owned have been '97s. I bought this one with only about 4k on it. It was sitting in a very clean garage and looked new. I rode it home in the rain, and the owner cringed.
