Sorry to 'bang on' about the banjo bolt .................. but you know me I hate puzzles. Couldn't have imagined that either of you would have used a 'double' but since I didn't have any issues these things 'niggle' ............... just measured the banjo fittings that I use, 8.4mm from face to face, perhaps yours are a tad thinner?

Re: project blackbird
did the rear brake today

i managed to utilize the rear reservoir by using some 10mm id pipe through a reducer to 6mm id for the brembo unit. i dont know yet if this is a trouble free set up but it all seems to be ok. although it was a bit of a fiddle trying to get out the air locks from the pipe.
the pushrod from the ducati fitted very well with no modification at all. so aside from bolt hole spacing it was an easy mod. i havent test rode yet due to icy roads but all seems to be ok.
swapped out the brake light switch for the pressure activated one. this again is an easy fit (chop off the old wires and connect them to the new ones, it doesnt matter which way)
with the banjo bolt i just used 4 washers 2 top and 2 bottom then they clamped down fine to get a good seal.
i took some some better pics on an actual camera too, much better than my phone

Re: project blackbird
That Sir is a job well done
Having seen a Busa front end conversion, I do like the top yoke design. As for the LED wings I agree they look good, I presume they meet lighting regs here, I know they have changed recently, interesting what the MOT tester says.

Re: project blackbird
Top effort, Paul. Now get out there and bed in that rear rotor!
Now, those blingy 'Audi-LEDs' in the mirrors. Very interested. Put a set aside for me, pls. Can you post up some more info/pics for us? How much work is involved in the install? Visibility during the day? Can they be used as day-running lights?
Gaz.

Dunno if they meet light regs ( I don't even know what they are either :-) ) but before I fitted them I took the whole unit to the place I get all my mot's done for him to look at and they said. As long as the indicator flashes orange and is visible there is no problem. I have orange bulbs and clear lenses, the led strip is almost clear too so I really can't imagine a problem. At the moment they are on all the time with the side lights, but I will be putting a switch in for them soon so that they can be turned off when a little hitler pc plod is about. They would look perfect with a hid kit as the side lights and main beam have a slightly yellow light and don't match the ice white of the LEDs......... Yet another thing to add to he shopping list :-) Cheers for all the complements, I can't wait to get her back on the road.

Re: project blackbird
Great idea checking with a tester, I do it on a regular basis, nothing worse than finding something has changed when you want a ticket

sounds good to me, the regs are just getting stupid. The tester I have used for many years told me last year that Duck should fail because I have 2 small round reflectors on the numberplate - the regs now say 1 and on the centreline of the bike - I said pass the drill and I will put them on the centreline. Bad idea aparently since the numberplate would then fail because of the holes! He just gave me the ticket!
