Re: Parting out CBR1100XX...LMK what ya need

I'm confused. When you say the front brake system is still available, what does that include? Rather, all I really want are the front rotors (if not warped/bent), but it sounds like they might be gone.

Re: Parting out CBR1100XX...LMK what ya need

So my '99 XX was stolen and the thief hit a car. Unfortunately it didn't kill him, but he will be in jail for a longgg time. Everything in front of the engine is destroyed including breaking the frame at the steering head.

I need a lot of the stuff you have left like:

frame
header pipe(s)
Upper fairing
cluster showing 14k miles
lower pegs
kickstand

Shipped to Southern California

What is the condition of the frame and upper fairing?

Re: Parting out CBR1100XX...LMK what ya need

I have all those things. I don't have any paper work on the frame but you can swap the vin tags over I think. The upper fairing looks good from the side seen but you can see on the backside that its been repaired but looks great on the outside. Give me a reasonable offer on those parts you need. I know shipping will be extremely high. Frames normally go around $800-$1k at my local shop but thats with paper work. The frame btw is in great shape and the front forks will go with it also.

Hey Firenspeed,

I have the rotors that Duddor sold me. I will sell them to you at the price he sold them to me. There are two different styles of rotors for the Blackbird though. These are the ones that have only six (not seven) steel bushings that hold the outer rotor to the inner aluminum hub part. Check and get back to me.

Thats why I say make an offer. And shipping would be about 5 bux if not more from Louisiana to Pennsylvania.... What is your offer? I've already pulled em.

Re: Parting out CBR1100XX...LMK what ya need

What kind of condition is it in? Is it bent at all, or are there any deep scratches? It looks like they are $69 brand new at bike bandit.com (see attachment), so how about $35 shipped if its in good condition.

Thanks,

-Jeff in Seattle

I'm not really wanting to ship stuff to Romania, thats gonna be very expensive and hard to package up because of being so fragile.

Re: Parting out CBR1100XX...LMK what ya need

If it's still available and not modified, would you be willing to ship the "Rear Fender" (aka the plastic bit that keeps the muck off the underside of the seat) just the plastic moulding, to Ireland?

Does anyone have a spare OEM handlebar in decent shape? My bird is a 99 if it matters.
