Man That is one Sweet lookin Bird. Dont hesitate. Grab it. I wish I lived near there. Not much to check for on a bike looking that good. Very very envious. Good luck.

But it's not RED! Isn't that what the add states? Red BlackBird. However, it looks good, has low mileage and is affordable.

something smells.......2003 model that has the old 98 rear flash indicators....LBS on the side sticker (unless there are all inported with LBS stickers)...these were also with the 98 model..extra stickers on the side panels....definitely go and check the bike ...lift the seat and verify the color code..and s/n of the engine- frame...

Seems ok. Bolt missing on forward right side of tail assembly.
Here are some pictures, for comparison, of a stock 03 XX with 350 miles:

thanks for your tips guys!! I have offered him 5000; lets see what he gets back with.
aurora: ur bike is sweeet! 350 miles!! u selling? I have asked him about the missing bolt as well as the mirror jacket/shroud being backwards on the right mirror. I ran a carfax check and it came back OK so the title seems clean.
Bullet: I saw some other pics of the 03 bird and the rear flash indicators seemed OK as well as the LBS stickers; maybe its a US bike thing. I am wonderign about the HRC stickers on the side panel; maybe add-ons.
BTW the red was typ on my part; I was just wanting a red or a blue bird so guess typed that in..

I have a 2003 in black and the Honda Racing is an add-on but the rest is stock including the LBS and rear signals.
Looks like a deal even at $6000 because of >$1000 in extras.

just a word of caution....when you go up there to check it out.....make sur eto let it run for a while (about 10mins). Take it for a long run and let it get good and warm. Then check for leaks.....I bought one and didn't find out til much later that it had "coolant overflow" problems.

Seems like a good buy at 6K. If you can get it for less ... Better still. Good Luck. From the pics I can't tell if it has scratches on the one side faring panel or if it is just reflections. With the mileage and extra's it seems like a good deal at 6K.

Fellas - - along the same lines, I am also considering buying. I posted the following the in the Intro forum. Any input appreciated.
"Am considering buying a '98 XX. My main concern: the brakes - - are they really up to the task of slowing this sled? I know they updated the LBS balance in '99 (I think '99) - - does this mean earlier versions are sub-par...or even dangerous?
Also, are the carb models OK? No carb issues?
Thanks, appreciate any input."

Hi Bassoman. No worries . Brakes are fine, could be better, but hey, it's not a full on sports bike. Carb's, no problem. May have a little flate spot issue coming onto mains in top gear roll-ons. Nothing that a Jet kit wont fix. If you find a low miles or K's one then go for it. With a little TLC they look as if they rolled out the factory yesterday.

Seems like the deal of the year to me. I have an 03 with 15000 km. I'd say that $5200 is a hell of a deal. Well done. I'd certainly want more than that for mine. Hope you enjoy her as much as the rest of us do ours.
