Due to some financial reasons I am going to sell the Blackbird. I will give anybody here a chance to buy it first before i post on Ebay. The bike is showroom condition. Tires are almost new. Synthetic oil just put in less than 1000 miles ago . I have photos on my laptop at work and will try and take some more today so i can post. There are also photos on this site on one of my previous threads. Bike is completely stock. It will be listed at $6,000.

Sorry to hear that you are having to sell it. Didn't you just buy this bike about 2 months ago? Do you have any mods on the bike or is it completely stock? Any issues any scratches?

Yes you are correct. I just bought it a couple months ago. In addition to the BB i also had a 2002 Harley Road Glide for me and the Mrs. She wont ride the BB with me. The other night a guy showed up wanting to buy my Harley and I sold it to him. The Mrs was pissed because as she says that was her bike. I fully intended when i sold the Harley to buy another. Well, i bought another one last night down in Georgia, but Im a little short in funds to pay for the whole thing. I can borrow what i need but Id rather not. So long story short, Ill sell the BB to get the difference. Someone will get a great bike if it sells. If it doesnt, no biggie.

Well its a sweet looking bike. Its kind of funny in that I have a friend who just sold his ZX12 not too long ago to buy a Harley (Road King I think... I'm not all that up on Harley's myself and have only seen it once) and his wife won't ride on the Harley so he is trying to sell it and get a Concours. She also cited a few image reasons for not wanting to be on the Harley but that is more of a personal thing with her. They like to tour and the wife says that the Harley shakes too much and is too loud. If you were closer I'd take a look because as I recall that Bird that you have is mint. Good luck selling it

Like I said yesterday, Im in a good position in that i dont have to sell it. Its a great bike to ride and it keeps me from racking up an extra 200 miles on my Harley every week riding back and forth to work. If somebody approaches me about buying great, if not then it will remain in my hands. Wife even said yesterday, she was surprised id be willing to sell it as she knows I like it a lot.

All,
I looked at Scott's bike this afternoon. It's beautiful. It sounds great. Unfortunately I'd need to do too much to it justify the price of this near-perfect unit. My use is strictly long distance. I'm going to need a full set of GIVI's, bar-backs (or equiv), maybe lower pegs and either HID conversions or aux lights. Bottom line - I can't afford it.
But if you're looking for a low mileage stock unit, this one's worthy of consideration.

Right now i have 4 people that want this bike and nobody has sent a deposit. Somebody needs to buy this thing as i need space in my garage. Price is set at 6500 minimum. I doubt you can find a better, cleaner, and low mileage BB thsan this. Its showroom condition as i think Greg, that came and looked at it can attest. Im betting it will be gone either tonight or tomorrow. Dont just sit there and think about it because while your thinking about it someone else is going to be buying it. It wont go for less than 6500 but it will go for more.

Everyone,
Bike is still for sale. Buyer did not want to go above 6K. It will sell for $6500. Look on Ebay and see what those are going for with 14K miles. I will give it till tomorrow and then off to Ebay where i have sold others.

I'm a little confused. Your opening thread listed the bike at $6000.00 and now it's $6500???? Will you not honor your original asking price? If you will, and it is as described (which I'm sure it is!) then I will buy it for YOUR original asking price of $6000 Thanks!

Fastman,
Check post # 16. I am the individual who called him yesterday and he agreed to sell the Bird for 6K and I when I got there he changed the price to 6.5K. When I asked him why the price was 6.5K he stated that he paid 6.5K for the bike and he was not going to lose any money from what he paid for the bike.
I offered 6K cash money and then he says he will split the difference with me. Needless to say I walked away.
He now has the bike listed on E-bay for $6600.

Maybe if you offered 7500 he may bump it up to 8000?
Sell your ride for what you initally stated. This is poor business practice and you will be flamed CBRXXRIDER.

Thanks for the heads up. Was stated to me that the (buyer) wanted a steal, not that it was a RE-NIG to sell at said price. I would have droven 6 hours...each way.

| Agreed that it's a sleazy move to post it at one price and then bump it up .
Also, I personally think $6500 is too high. I'm sure some EBay sucker will pay it though.

Interesting. There have been a lot of birds on ebay that were nice with less miles that didn't get $6600 but you never know with ebay. It is raw to post up a price and then switch it. Motorsports1 I hope it wasn't a far drive for you. Did you know that the price had jumped prior to going out to take a look?

This will be my last post on here as I know I have irritatated some. Sorry if thats the case never meant that to be. When i originally posted the BB I really didnt want to sell it as it is such a great bike. Actually i wasnt even sure that i was going to sell it . Maybe just fishing to see what a bike like this was worth. Things came around as i wanted them to and it made sense to sell the bike. You will see that had stated i had decided to sell the bike. I had stated that i would list it on eBay at 6K if i listed it but then i saw what others on eBay were being listed for. I have only sold bikes on eBay and learned that an open forum like this is not the way to sell a bike. Once i stated the 6K i knew it was underpriced and it was also below what i paid for it as i paid 6500. I told anybody that was interested that i would take no less than 6500 as i didnt have to sell the bike and wasnt going to lose money on it. I did get a call and a visit from 1 person expecting that they could buy for 6K. Yes i told him the lowest i would go was 6K and what i did was wrong. I knew it would sell for more but at the moment he called I said 6K would take it. His number was private and i could not return the call so i figured what the heck roll the dice. Wrong decision yes!!!! I will take my beating on here and wont see it anymore. Powersports I owe you an apology. Sorry but I was looking out for myself. Bike listed on eBay today and sold for more than it was listed for as a Buy it Now to someone local. Im in business to make $ not friends. See ya!

2000CBRXXrider,
Just for clarity, you had received two calls from me on monday. The first call monday morning to inquire if the bike was still for sale and to inquire if you would be willing to accept 6K cash for the bike, which you stated that you would accept 6K cash if I bought it today. My second call to you was after 6:00 p.m. to let you know that I would be one to two hours late in my arrival. At that time you did not take the opportunity to inform me of your decision to increase the price of the bike until after my arrival and after I had taken a test ride of the bike.
As a business owner I fully understand the economics of buying and selling. When I asked to see the title of the bike, the first thing I looked at was the purchase price that you had paid tax on, and you had purchased the bike for 6.5K. In business no one likes to lose money, but their is such things as ethics and integrity. Your motovation was purely monetary.
Scott, I accept your apology and you would do well to make more freinds instead of the monetary gain that you seek because they are more valuable.

Gotta love the drama! Have had this happen to me before--a guy posts something at a certain price, gets a few sniffs, and then thinks he can jack the price up a bit--I drove 3 hours (including a freakin ferry ride) only to have this happen a couple years ago. Definitely not good business practice, imho.
