Yes, I did it. I cracked my nose cone on my bike, trying to move it with ice on the ground. I was bringing it thru an open doorway when my foot slipped and the bike just hit the door frame. It's not a bad crack and I was thinking I may be able to fix the crack and touch up paint. I'd also replace the nose cone if I could find one cheap enough. OEM replacements go for $480 - $580 from sites I've checked on the net. I can't do any work until springtime now and I am really pissed at myself for being so stupid.

Try Plastex. There is a company in Oz that I know ships to the USA if you cant find it locally.

It's a heavy bike and awkward to move at walking speed. You're not the first to dump it.
There was a used one here:
Give him a PM.

Hello to All:

I have a nearly perfect red upper cowl assembly I purchased from John of John's Bike Bits here on the forum. If anyone has a black upper cowl assembly they would like to trade please let me know. My bike is a '98-I am not sure what year the red one came off of.

Merry Christmas to All

The cheapest, new, I fiound is either Ron Ayres or Honda Direct Line. Both $404. Keep in mind it will be painted and ready to go.

Thanks for the replies guys. And thanks for the offer Brian, but I'm having a hard time trying to part with $500 or so for a new replacement. I'm going to try the repair with plastex next spring and hopefully I'll be ok with that. It's not a bad crack, but I want my bike to be flawless!

Yes, I looked into that. I actually inquired but the man said shipping would be expensive, maybe more than going with an OEM part here in the states.
