I'd say big difference if you've got long legs
went for first long ride (about 500km) and had no need to stetch out my legs during the last hour like I usually do! |

Helvet hi
Needed one set of the lowering brackets... would you by any chance have any left? Also, can you ship to India?
Thanks
Ravi

I have one set of the peg lowering brackets that I would be willing to sell and ship anywhere in the US. I bought them before they ran out with the intention of buying a blackbird. Plans have changed. Looking for what I got in them $55 shipped in US. Brand new never been used. (SOLD)

If anyone who is lucky enough to still get their hands on Dave Strom's lowering kit would like some fitting instructions, here's some I put together as I was fitting mine.
Cheers,
Geoff

Ok folks, I've been getting lots of PM's requesting more of these. I stopped making/selling them due to lax sales.
I can sell these again if demand for them gains. I have to make them in batches of 100 to get them a a decent price.
Pricing will go up probably another $5 bucks or so due to increased costs.
Opinions?

Opinions? | Well Dave as one of the very first to put my hand up and buy some from the 1st batch I think they are one of the best mods for comfort on the bike that I could have made, my legs/knees/feet all love them
I was surprised that you had problems selling the last ones of the second batch
Maybe the fact the BB or XX as you Yanks call them wasn't as big and they stopped being imported in 03 had something to do with it
I know I have heard a lot of talk on other forums about making the leg position more comfortable on places I frequent (particularly OzBB, B.I.R.D, and a couple of Perth WA based forums) where there have been quite a lot of newbies buying BB's or XX's in the last year or so
If you are looking at doing them again I would even be interested in getting a spare set just in case I ever wrecked my 98 TiBird and needed to get a newer (although slower coloured ) Bird
I will put some posts up on some of the other forums if you want to gauge interest for you as I feel they are a bargain for the price and you have done a great job designing them and selling them, much better/cheaper and easier than the Buell peg mod and so easy to return to stock |

I was actually on the third batch of them (300) but most of the 3rd batch went overseas as sales in the states dwindled down. Most likely due to the fact that the bike isn't sold here anymore.

You are a pathetic little man! Just because you have a bad experience with shipping (and you are the only one of all my customers) it doesn't have to happen to others.
In the future: I do not make negative comments on your postings, so please do the same with mine.
